Steelers' Omar Khan dreams big

Going for somebody like this who has worked in a stable org for a while and helped put together 2 SB teams along would be a good idea IMO. But that would mean giving him control over that part of the team. Scouts, coaching, etc. If you want to keep Bruce as President and HarvestFest organizer...fine. But this is what a young football person with NFL chops looks like.

A savy GM would have saved the coaches from just outright cutting Rambo.  Who had two picks yesterday vs Aaron Rodgers for God's sake!!!  The lack of quality depth on this team is simply astounding.  I doubt that a great staff who made all the right decisions could do any better than 8 - 8.  The drop off between 1's and 2's is laughable.  You see how back ups are man handled when they come into the game.  What's really demoralizing is watching Chris Chester week after week get fork lifted back into the running back's lap and knowing that we can't put in the guys we drafted like Leribus or Long because in practice they must suck worse!

I also noticed this week that Chad Rinehart is starting on the Chargers line.

That's why I believe our line may not be the problem, it's more that everything about our team is awful.

^^ Which is why bringing in a new coach with that same mentality and without the proper FO structure to allow him that mentality would simply be another miscalculation in a ridiculously long series of miscalculations on one Dan Snyder's part.

So, in other words, very likely. Judging by the fan base here who seem to consistently feel the exact same way he does (interesting, right?), that's what's going to happen. Another coach to get ruined while the main issue goes unresolved, yay!

Judging by some of the posters on this board gives one the idea of what goes through Snyder's mind and how he operates.

Doesn't matter.

A GM will cave in, eventually, to pressure applied by Snyder. We could have the best GM in the world, but eventually he'll be forced to decide between what's best for the franchise and what's best for his career. He'll acquiesce to Snyder's "football personnel insight" over business dinner, and reluctantly conduct himself and his actions in a manner that would satiate his boss's enormous ego. DS wants in on the fun, and when he's your boss, you simply can't tell him to "STFU" about football because he doesn't know what he's talking about. The GM in question would have no choice but to feel compelled to entertain DS's notions pertaining to football or he will be clever enough to persuade his boss into seeing things his way.
