PFW article has us finishing at 8-8!

This guy Kieth Schleiden has us finishing up playing much better. He has us losing the next 2 though(which doesnt make sense because in the staff pick area he picks us). He has us splitting with the Eagles, sweeping the Cards, beating the Cowboys, and both the Bears and the Saints! I really don't like the idea of us losing this next one, but I love that someone sees us making serious improvement.

I'll say it again: I've said since the preseason that the second half of our season will show marked improvement from the first half. In addition, while I don't think we're out of the woods just yet, if we play every game like we did against the Giants, we'll have a winning record from here on out, certainly good enough for a 7-9 or 8-8 record.

This team even has enough talent for an outside shot of catching lightening in a bottle, sort of like the '94 Chargers, and finishing 9-7 (going 7-2 the rest of the way), but I view that as unlikely. However, I'd point out that we can beat any team in our division, and I view 9-7 as good enough to win this mediocre division we play in, especially if we beat our divisional opponents head to head.

To my way of thinking, this game will probably determine what we'll ultimately wind up as. This team is starting to believe in itself as unbelievable as that is. I mean, there's a belief happening, despite the fact that the team has really only played three good quarters of football all year. Still, confidence is a critical thing for a football team and we may be building that confidence.

It goes away with a home loss in very winnable game this week. If we lose to Seattle, we'll have a difficult time finishing 8-8, not only because 6-2 seems a bit pie in the sky, but, because we simply won't have the confidence to line up and beat teams, especially Chicago and New Orleans who may be playing for something while we aren't.

However, if we win this game, things change. I don't see us winning after the bye week as this team will get a little fat and sassy with itself after three wins, but, at 3-6, with another defining loss, it may finally get it that you must show up every week. A .500 season would be a remarkable feat given the lack of competitiveness we displayed for far too long.

But, a win here and 8-8 or even a division winning 9-7 is possible. Success breeds confidence and confidence feeds success. This team has the talent to compete and win. This is a big game to solidify that.

right now we're 2-5 and only losing 3 more game seems kinda a longshot. I hope we lose no more games and finish 11-5 but that won't happen. Let just hope that our players get much better and we don't have to sit through another offseason of a new coach and new staff messing with stuff if its working.

I agree with Art.This weekends against Seatle is the biggest game of the year for us so far.If we win, we go into the bye with lots of confidence and two weeks to prepare for Denver thinking positive. If we lose,it could be a long two weeks.

How many Cardinal,Cowboys fans do we have in the house for this weekends games? Wouldn't be great to go into the bye week with three straight wins, and 1/2 game out of first.

Probably won't happen,but a man can dream can't he.

it totally could happen. The giants will most likely win, same with the Eagles but that means the Boys and Cards fall and the Skins go from 5th to 3rd in the division really quick I believe. Then 2 weeks to heal and make a push.....not really...but hopefully

I'm with Art also. OK, we beat Carolina but the consensus is that we were lucky and plus they suck anyway (despite having played some pretty decent games earlier). We beat the Giants but the consensus is a) they suck too or B) they played terrible, take your pick.

If we beat Seattle, you'll hear the drumbeat that they suck also. But there's different kinds of 'suck', and at that point it would seem to me that maybe half the teams in the league suck worse than the Redskins.

So lets see. Go into the bye at 3-5. Three more games even our worst detractors will admit the Skins should (not WILL!) win - Zona, Zona, Dallas. That leaves just two more wins to get to 8-8. Not real likely, but it certainly could happen.
