DeaconTheVillain
So I am thinking of making the transition to being self employed. I would have Cobra coverage for a while (a year i think) and then would be to buy insurance because I have a preexisting condition that i was born with and take medicine daily. What kind of prices am I looking at paying for health insurance that would help with medicine and doctor visits? Don't really care about dental and eye for now. I'm just trying to calculate a ball park field for what I would need to make per month. I have no idea how much coverage could cost if i was to buy out of pocket as a self employed person. Google searching yielded a lot of junk and what looks like scam insurance. Thanks for any info. And Merry Chistmas ES

chipwhich
All depends on how large of a deductible you have, and what level of copays you want to pay. If you have no deductible and low copays it's probably going to be really high. Can't give you a number because there are too many variables. In all likelihood its in the $400-$1000 range per month. Duckus
I have an individual health insurance plan that I pay for and then my employer reimburses me. I pay $333.70 for health & dental for one of the best Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.
