Riggins77
Hey peeps, I'm looking to buy a new laptop and don't want to drop a lot of money on one, don't really care if it can run games on it, but it would be an added bonus. Would Wow Cataclysm run on an HP G4t series laptop with the following specs: Processor: intel duel core 2.13Ghz Memory: 4GB DDR3 Hard drive: 320GB 5400RPM Display: 14" diagnoal HD HP Brightview LED (1366x768) Graphics Card: 512MB DDR3 Radeon HD 6470M (HDMI, VGA) The price on this is only $549 which I can get away with. I'd prefer to not pay more than $600, but need to keep it around $550 if possible, or less. I don't care to much about running on ultra graphics. So would this run the game on high settings, medium, etc. Please let me know, any help is appreciated.
jnhay
WOW doesn't seem like a graphically demanding game. I would expect most laptops with discrete graphics around $600 to be able to play it.
Slacky McSlackAss
Here's the min requirements I found: Windows XP 32bit (SP3), Windows XP 64bit (SP2), Windows Vista 32bit (SP1), Windows Vista 64bit (SP1): Intel Pentium 4 1.3 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1500 1GB or more of RAM NVIDIA® GeForce® FX or ATI Radeon™ 9500 video card or better DirectX-compatible sound card or motherboard sound capability 25 GB free hard drive space Processor and RAM are fine. With that video card, it will run. But the graphics will not be great.

MSJHWT
Will it run? Yes Your FPS in cities and in raids will likely be fairly low, I, personally, wouldn't raid on such a system. It depends on what your aim in the game is.If you just do BGs and dailies, etc it'd be fine. If you're thinking about doing competitive area, raids, or even just random dungeons I personally wouldn't use that system. As someone else mentioned it's the video card in the system which is holding it back, the other specs seem fine. Also, a 14'' screen is going to be an awful small amount of real estate for a good UI. Predicto
Raids and mass PvP will be a problem unless you get a better video card. Otherwise, WoW will run on anything. It is not a cpu/ram intensive game.
Riggins77
What about this Dell Inspiron 15R? It has a dedicated graphics card, I assume that means its not integrated, I could be wrong though. Anyone know? •Processor: Intel Core i3-370M Processor (3M cache, 2.40 GHz) •Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium •Inspiron 15R - N5010 •500 GB SATA Hard Drive (5400 RPM) •6 GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHZ •8X DVD +/- RW Drive •1 GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD550v, 64-Bit, DDR3

Anyone know?•1 GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD550v, 64-Bit, DDR3 Im no computer expert or anything so when they chime in you will have the answer, but to my noob computer knowledge whenever you see the word Mobility in the graphics card it means it is pretty weak but the one above does not seem that bad. As I said wait for the exprets to chime in.
Homercles82
WoW relies more on processing speed than graphics. Of course a nicer graphics card will make it more pelasurable but you don't need a powerhouse to run it. The laptop in the OP looks fine for WoW.
