arkowi
When you are in a teams local market, does the local ABC affiliate simulcast the MNF game along with ESPN? Or did I make that up? Working on canceling cable and Redskins ESPN/MNF is one of the final snags.
DButz65
Well we only have 1 MNF game this year vs the Eagles, but I THINK they do play it on a local non cable station
AKM311
So your going back to just regular TV?
Johns Bass
ESPN is trying to work out a broadband streaming deal with Verizon - do not know if this would help your particular situation or not, being able to view it on a computer. Also do not know if it is going to get through or if they will extend it to other providers. http://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/article/65279
arkowi
So your going back to just regular TV? Ideally: - Netflix Instant - Hulu+ - Other internet "sources" - Over the air HD for NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC, and PBC
hail2skins
I'm pretty positive that they do show the game on a local channel. But how many times in a given year are the Skins going to be on MNF? For those instances, I would think that even if the game wasn't on local channels, people who wanted to see it would go to a local watering hole with ESPN. Truant
Cancel cable and go to a bar for our only Monday night game? Though you probably want to see more than just one Monday Night Football game. I have cable and MNF is only on ESPN, I don't know about a possible ABC broadcast.
rocazares
Damn, over the years I have the idea that MNF was broadcasted in your local ABC no matter the teams scheduled. Ops ... From september to january I will love ESPN more than anything. : S
