method man
A good Wednesday morning laugh for you East Coast guys when you wake up to this. Look who this guy has at #6 for QBs above Manning, Brady, Roethlisberger, and Rivers. http://www.realgmfootball.com/src_wiretap_archives/15833/20100209/final_nfl_player_rankings_for_2009/
robotfire
I don't really see how this guy used statistics to support what he's doing. His formula is poorly explained.
Smoot Point Really
I found this link to help explain this guys statistical method: http://www.realgmfootball.com/src_fromtheskybox/10/20080304/the_nfl_reina_value/ Basically, a 50 yard TD would be worth: 9.25 points using this system A 50 yard drive with 8 completions, 2 incompletions, 4 first downs and no TDs: 10 points using this system I think you can use statistical rankings, but this model is pretty weak. John Lydon
This is one of the most odd statistical systems I've ever seen used. Regardless, this thread is going to turn into a war zone very soon...... :security:
tiger187126
statistics don't lie, but they can be bent any which way to back your opinion. it looks like he put a lot of stock into qb rushing because why else would garrard and campbell be so high. RocketCitySkins
I'm bookmarking this site. Everytime a JC basher pulls out the DOVA to prove that he was really the 27th ranked quarterback and not 15th, I'm pulling out this one to show that he was really 6th. Or maybe I'll just make up my own formula and see if I can push him a little higher. I'm saying all this in jest. The National Football League rankings are really the only ones that I trust.
