I never believed that. Figured it was an urban legend, and all that.

However, after spending the last three years taking care of Mom 24x7, I have noticed that this is the third Christmas in a row where I've been outrageously depressed, and the third in a row where I'm firmly convinced that I'm watching Mom's Last Christmas.

sad but true. many more domestic disputes, people are drinking, parents have split custody issues...

been talking to some of my cop buddies, and everyone is really on edge. You know its a dangerous job, but its so escalated right now.

I pray every day that our service members oversees stay safe, and that those protecting us at home stay safe.
