Rodriggo
He's probably not. Coaches that reach the summit never win again but at least we'll be a professionally run team. Rather go 10-6 and lose in the playoffs than 4-12 and have everybody laughing at us while having our collective souls gangbanged on national television repeatedly by our most hated rivals. That's just me though.
WhoRUSupposed2Be
To be fair, the AFC West has been pretty beastly over the last decade plus. Denver, KC, San Deigo and even Oakland have all been big time. That said, I'm not psyched about Shannahan. But I'm not down on him either. Honestly, I don't really think there's anyone they could bring in short of Zombi Lombardi who would get me really pumped at this point. I'm like a chick that's been cheated on by her last three boyfriends. I feel the same exact way.
Ernie5
One important difference might be that he would not come in here as Emperor. Allen is the GM and Shanahan perhaps enters believing he has something to prove. He's been a good coach for a while and if he's a hardass, all the better -- maybe we could use one of those here. ntotoro
We have Jim Zorn right now. Possibly one of the worst HC's of all-time. Easily so, actually. Exactly why wouldn't Shanahan be an improvement... ?
