Well, both points lead to the correct conclusion that you can't really blame Norv for not thinking much of Gannon. People around the league "missed" on Gannon for over 10 years. Had we just re-signed Green, and kept the 1,2,3 we traded for Brad Johnson and actually picked 2 good players - we would have been the best team in the NFC for a decade.
