ljs
http://www.khq.com/Global/story.asp?S=11100090 Calling ACW..... KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Department of Justice is warning against the dangers of large marijuana grows which the department says are not just illegal, but can also harm the environment and people around them.U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington James McDevitt says this time of the year is the harvest season for the marijuana grows. Many have already been busted in Washington including one huge grow three miles east Burbank where authorities discovered an estimated 40,000 plants worth more than $50 million. The attorney general says these grows are a major environmental hazard. "They cause significant degradation to the environment with their illegal campsites, pesticides, fertilizers, trash, human waste and thousands of feet of PVC pipe and hoses," said McDevitt. The attorney general also said the chemicals can seep into the ground and water sources. McDevitt also warned of armed guards who keep watch over the illegal grows and said they're likely to do anything to defend their plants. If you're out hunting or hiking and see a marijuana grow, you should leave as quietly as you can and call 911 as soon as you're away from the area. I can say that the Pac NW grows a **** ton of weed. Every year hundreds of millions of dollars worth of pot grows found. The treed area this was found in-not too far from where my mom lives.

ljs
Those trees are used for paper, there is a paper mill near there. Word has been that the guys responsible for maintaining the paper mill tree orchard, have been growing pot for several years. looks like they finally got caught.
