Corcaigh
Al Franken talks to a crowd of constituents about healthcare reform. The Tea Party lady starts out a little confrontational but Franken does a nice job in handling it. So ... a funny man enters politics and it turns out that he is the straight man. That says a lot about the quality of our career politicians on both sides of the aisle.
HailSkins81
I have been pretty impressed by him. Now, if only Lewis Black, a DC area resident would run for office.
Duckus
Very impressive. He handled that as well as one could. I have not really followed him at all since the election results were finalized, but that was impressive.
hkHog
Good stuff from Franken, very reasonable and I am amazed that I agree with him so much. However, notice that none of the reforms that he talked about necessitated a public option. This is exactly my point, a public option is not the sort of reform we need to make our health care system better and more affordable. There are many other things we could do, like the changes he suggested, which would be a much better solution to maximizing quality of service and minimizing cost than a public option. Enter Apotheosis
Tough crowd. Quite a few were very agenda-driven and obviously immovable in their opinion.
WVUforREDSKINS
Al is good enough, smart enough, and dog-gone it, people like him! All I really care about is people with pre-existing conditions getting the meds or treatment they need. I think that both dems and most repubs agree on this. Haha man I would love it! He would sure smack some common sense into people! He's from Silver Spring, why not run for Congress Mr. Black? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sbw6Nxf8dYU

Midnight Judges
That was impressive. He did very well. It's nice to see a civilized discussion on this issue.
Destino
Franken is no fool and he's not afraid of confrontation. Not at all surprised that he'd stand in the middle of an opposed partisan crowd. What was surprising is how well he explained some of the problems that don't get talked about enough. The different delivery systems for example was a great point.
Vicious
most repubs agree on this. You would think that, but with the media driven conservative market, that is not the case.
