matty dread
BATON ROUGE -- Former LSU defensive standout Fred Booker has signed a free agent contract with the Washington Redskins, the team announced on Wednesday. Booker, who spent the spring playing in NFL Europe with the Amsterdam Admirals, was a member of LSU's Peach Bowl champion team in 2000. As a member of the Admirals, Booker recorded 27 tackles and deflected four passes from his cornerback position. In four years with the Tigers, Booker finished with 126 tackles, four interceptions and a pair of fumble recoveries. He was a Second Team All-Southeastern Conference selection in 2000 after helping the Tigers to an 8-4 overall mark and a 28-14 win over Georgia Tech in the Peach Bowl.

bulldog
those final 2-3 spots on the roster saved for special teams performers will be contested over by 20 guys we bring to camp, that's the way it is every year jobs in the NFL, even with expansion and the watered down rosters, are still gems and players should realize how lucky they are when they are able to claim one. Skeletor The Invincible
I've heard great things about Booker. They say he's like Kearse, but even faster and more agile. The weight difference between him and the OTs is countered by his incredible speed. His run stopping abilities, however, are lacking. Raw, but has potential! stevea
You were right the first time -- the Redskins _DID_ sign a DE today: KFFL has learned the Washington Redskins have signed DE Andre Arnold to a two-year deal. and _TWO_ DBs, Booker and KFFL has learned the Washington Redskins have signed S Rashidi Barnes to a two-year deal. He was the NFL Europe Defensive Player of the Year. HTTR!
