Zen-like Todd
I'm wondering if you can assemble a complete roster, WITH depth at all positions, that is a reasonable Super Bowl contender, with current players who were drafted in the 6th/7th rounds, or went undrafted. Off the top of my head to get things started (I'll add to/adjust/improve the list as we go): QBs: Brady(Patriots), Romo sits to pee (Cowboys), Garcia (Buccaneers) C: Jamaal Jackson (Eagles), Shaun O' Hara (Giants), Jeff Saturday (Colts), Matt Birk (Vikings) OT: Mark Tauscher (Packers), Jason Peters (Bills) OG: Kris Dielman (Chargers), Brian Waters (Chiefs) RB: Willie Parker (Steelers), Ryan Grant (Packers), Earnest Graham (Buccaneers) FB: Mike Sellers (Redskins) WR: T.J. Houshmandzadeh(Bengals), Wes Welker (Patriots), Marques Colston (Saints), Mike Furrey (Lions), Donald Driver (Green Bay), TE: Antonio Gates (Chargers), Bo Scaife (Titans) DT: Ratliff (Cowboys), Kedric Golston (Redskins), Pat Williams (Vikings) DE: Adewale Ogunleye (Bears), Demetric Evans (Redskins), James Hall (Rams), Bobby McCray (Saints) LB: London Fletcher (Redskins), Antonio Pierce (Giants), Gary Brackett (Colts), Cato June (Tampa), James Harrison (Steelers), Adalius Thomas (Patriots) S: Chris Horton (Redskins), Clinton Hart (Chargers), Ryan Clark (Steelers), Atari Bigby (Packers) CB: Rod Hood (Cardinals), Cortland Finnegan (Titans), Nick Harper (Titans) Punter: Donnie Jones (Rams) LS: Ethan Albright (Yeah baby - Redskins) Kicker: Could be almost anyone, but let's go with Josh Brown (Rams) PR/KR: Joshua Cribbs (Browns) Thoughts, suggestions? DWinzit
There sure are a lot of good late round interior OL. Pocono, nice add ons to Zens list. I still can't believe Philly letting Hood go.
ptr77
Well since i dont have the time to look up every other teams late picks or UDFAs, here are the current giants starters from that group: LT - David Diehl LG - Rich Seubert C - Shaun Ohara FB - Madison Hedge**** MLB - Antonio Pierce SLB - Danny Clark S (they are interchangeable in this system) - James Butler, Michael Johnson I am surprised that all the linebackers Pocono listed fit the late round description, those three guys are monsters. Late round safeties and running backs seem easy to find as do interior olinemen. I just never expected so many good linebackers to drafted that late or undrafted. ptr77
No Stephon Heyer love? How about safety Antoine Bethea? Tackle Shane Olivea? Olivea was good, he has had some problems recently and was cut from the giants. I dont know if anyone picked him up.
Santana_Fan
The QB definitely has to be Brady.
HighOnHendrix
Pocono, nice adds. Especially Parker and Hasselbeck. They are so good it's easy to forget how low they went in the draft.
Pocono
Some more where we're thin. CB Al Harris-GB Jabari Greer-Bills DT Jovan Haye-TB[6 sacks last year] Tommie Kelly-OAK[50M extension] OG Tom Nalen-Den Rich Seubert-NYG DE Raheem Brock-Colts Juqua Parker[4.5 sacks] belongs on the team and Demetric Evans doesn't IMO. Haye and Kelly and Gregg over Golston. Mikell over Horton after only 8 games in the league. If we looked close enough we could find a couple more who would start over both of these guys. I think OT is the toughest position to fill because that position is so important and picked over early in the draft. Cornell Green starts at RT for the Raiders but it's the Raiders so maybe he gets added for depth.
