Slateman
Ok, it seems like every thread about Kelly seems to have a bunch of posters in it that are all like "He better play!" My question is, why? Why is it so important that Kelly play this early in the season!? First off, he's a rookie. Rookies usually struggle their first season. Especially receivers. And second, he's obviously banged up. What are ya'll expecting? Some sort of heroic effort on his part? I say let him heal up and learn the offense. Moss and Randel El are producing. No reason to rush the rooks . . . Jofizz
This could have been posted in the other Kelly thread..
NewCliche21
Because we want to see him contribute. Why do you want ANYONE to play? What's the point in drafting someone who has great potential but won't see the field due to a possible hangnail?
kevincollateral
the more he plays...the more comfortable he becomes. that is going to translate into contributing. would you rather him spend his whole first year on the sideline?!?! they NEED him for the redzone. he needs to get comfortable with the nfl speed. cant do that on the sideline. I was gonna make to the League but I cut my fingernails too short, then came down with an ingrown toenail and a case of indigestion. Man...what could have been! Zen-like Todd
I want him to get completely healthy. I don't even really care if he contributes this year, although that would be nice. I want him to be a big part of this team for the next decade, and don't want to risk blowing that by trying to rush him back from his injuries.
