Major Harris
it should also be noted, the last time the 'skins won the super bowl, they won their first matchup of the year, in dallas, by two points.

SKINS_RJ_44
Yep, Sept. 1991 - Monday Night Football. Redskins won the game 33-31. Not sure if this means anything, 1991, the Redskins won at Giants Stadium 17-13. Of course, this year the Redskins lost at Giants Stadium 7-16. Peeping Wizard
Think about it this way, this time last year if a Giants fan on a Giants message board started a thread about them winning the Super Bowl that year, they likely would have been labeled crazy. Anything is possible.

TC4
The only fly I see in this ointment is that both Giants teams the year after they won both their Super Bowls in 1987 and 1991 had teams that couldn't even make the playoffs, while this year's Giants team looks good In 1987, they began the season 0-5 on their way to a 6-9 record in the strike shortened season, and in 1991, they struggled to an 8-8 record
