Mass_SkinsFan
Redskins Diehard's thread about taxing the wealthy got me thinking about something.... What deductions should be allowed to taxable income? Not what income should be taxed, but what deductions should be allowed? Should we allow people to write off charitable donations or mortgage interest? Should we give people tax credits for their children? Should we take taxes out of people's paycheck BEFORE or AFTER their 401K deductions, health insurance premiums, and other deductions are taken? SkinsHokieFan
Charitable donations, savings (i.e to a 401k) and investments In an ideal world there would be none. But I think those 3 could work
Mass_SkinsFan
Personally I'm for NO deductions. Take 10-12% right off the top of everyone's paycheck and be done with it. Though I'd also remove the capital gains, investment, and death taxes among others.

It would eliminate confusing over the system, excess jobs, and make it overall "fair" for everyone.
