Katy's an awesome girl and her husband, Ryan, is the sweetest guy. Hi Everyone! I just wanted to write and let you all know about a contest I am in. It's called 'The Next Great American Country Superstar'. It is online. I had a fan tell me about and decided to enter! To enter, I had to do a video. So I did a basic video on my own for 'A Soldier's Wife'. To view the video, go to http://musicnation.com/music/katybenko (which is my Music Nation profile page). You'll see both the audio and video listed in my media section. The voting process is a little tough. It's head to head voting, and I get put against a different video every time someone votes. So far the reaction has been great from the people who have seen it, but I need to try to get some more votes if I have a chance. My mom and I have both voted. I tried for 2 hours to vote for my video without it ever coming up, so I gave up for a while. My mom also viewed videos for about 90 minutes before she finally saw mine and voted for it. I think tried again and saw my video within the first 15 minutes of my second attempt. So it's totally random. I understand if you don't have time to sit in front of your computer for two hours, but if you try and don't see my video, please try again later. Also, to win I have to have the highest percentage of votes. The easiest thing to do is vote all other videos equal to each other until you come to my video. That's what I did.
