RedskinsSuperBowl21
http://www.packersnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080306/PKR01/803060650/1989 Tollner said Brunell wants to play this year and has three other teams that have called and, like the Packers, are sorting out their priorities for their backup spots. "The ideal role (for Brunell) is to mentor or be there supporting the No. 1 guy and having the ability to step in and win games," Tollner said. "That fits with a few different teams right now that I'm communicating with, and I think it makes a lot of sense at (the Packers)." The Packers have made preliminary contact with veteran quarterback Mark Brunell.

nightbird
Makes sense. I'd wish him luck. The Packers definitely have the o-line and wr's to give a qb a good chance for success.
skinsandgibbsfan
He can retire where his career started. Always a team player, good luck to Brunell wherever he goes.
BigMike619
WOW!! Take him PLEASE!! Brunell had one great game with us and a bunch of dink-n-dunk games inbetween them. Good man/Old QB by the time he got here. Good luck Mark!!

Laxpunk2006
Good for Mark. I think his dink/dunk style would work well if he has to fill in at all in GB. Those recievers should be able to do most of the work for him.
Riggs8508
I'm not gonna lie. I will miss brunel. Sure he wasn't a great player by the time he got here, but he seemed like a pretty good mentor/lockerroom presence by the end.
Walking Deadman
I think he'll give you a game or two.
elkabong82
Good luck Mark! Hopefully the fans in Green Bay will treat you better than the fans did here. Always a class act, always a mentor here, always restructuring his contract, led the team to the playoffs, played one of the most unforgettable games aginst Dallas, set an NFL record, and never said an unkind word of his teammates. Sorry Mark that so many Skins fans would rather act like Eagles fans and constantly harp on your failures, than ever once consider your contributions here (not all Skins fans though) on and off the field. DeMarco Murray 29
Best job in the world. Sit the bench and never have to get hit making millions.
Fieldy
I just wish we still had the rights to him so we could get an extra draft pick in return or something.
