DeathByLinebacker
Bengals | Agreement Reached With Thornton? - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)19:24 PT: David Moore reports for FOXSports.com the Cincinnati Bengals have reportedly reached a tentative contract agreement with free agent DT John Thornton (Titans). I know his name has been brought up a few times around here. They also signed Kevin Hardy and aren't going to match the Bills for Takeo Spikes, although that doesn't really affect the Redskins (other than Hardy leaving Dallas). OrangeSkin
The only way I see this affecting the 'Skins is if this signing somehow diminishes the Bungles interested in Jimmy Kennedy and in turn their interest in trading down.
Art
Meanwhile in Philadelphia the Eagles appear confident that no one will maintain as much open cap space as they will heading into the year. Citing the need for "a buffer" the Eagles, in case of injury, will smartly carry some $15 million less than they are allowed to spend in an effort to do anything at all in their power to avoid getting better. bulldog
Lewis is following the traditional path. Build up the defensive front seven and settle on a qb. let's see if the personnel choices match the strategy.
sashae
The big question is whether or not they'll be able to avoid the Bengal curse with draft picks... gotta be scary for them drafting #1 overall. -s
