Skinfan75
at least he doesnt have to worry about Todd Collins knowing the playbook better than him....... True:cheers:
daskns4life7620
Ok Synder needs to get out of here. He continues to make stupid moves for the Redskins organization. He needs to hire Williams, who has gotten the approval of players, coaches, and Joe Gibbs himself. And now he wants to bring a new offecsive cordinator for Campbell, a young a quarterback who needs some stability. But Campbell has yet to prove him self, I feel his personality is cold. He is never rooting his teamates, or encouarging others. HE'S THE TEAMS QUARTERBACK!!! THAT'S HIS JOB.
Soup
Another rookie year for campbell. I saw Brady Quinn pick up an offense really quick so I don't think campbell will have problems.
TomE
This is situation should be nothing new to Jason and it shouldn’t affect him adversely in terms of preparation. The execution of any offensive changes will take some time to “gel” but after experiencing the Saunders’ offense one would think most anything would be easier to pick up. Who knows, the new coaching staff (whoever they really are) might even lighten things up for him and tell him to go have fun and just play the game. Skinsfan803
so im guessing some type of west coast offense..... not good.... I remember Steve Young saying something about it takes at least 4 years to actually learn to west coast... plus we dont have west coast type of WR's..... most West Coast WR's are at least 6'1 to 6'4.. ( T.O, Jerry Rice, that Marshall kid from Denver)

voicekiller
Jason will be fine, and Fassel has a great track record molding QB's (John Elway ring any bells)...if anything that is Fassel's best quality, he knows how to teach and make good things from quaterbacks...i mean come on he did get to a superbowl with Kerry Collins
Riggo-toni
One of the few people who might actually benefit from this hire is Campbell. Campbell was NEVER going to excel in Saunders system, anymor than Garcia could ever thrive in an Air Coryell offense. Fassel's one redeeming quality is that he seems to get the most out of mediocre QBs - ie Kanell, Brown, Collins. He isn't going to put the game on the QB's shoulders. He will have Jason managing the game, and will water the playbook down to where Jason can handle it. The person you ought to be apologizing to is Portis. Fassel has never been able to establish a decent run game - look at the stark contrast in Tiki from Fassel to Colonel Coughlin.

That might be the case, but most people here were criticizing Gibbs and Saunders specifically because of how they handled Campbell. They did "water the playbook down" and only wanted Campbell to manage the game. Then, the offense 'opened up' according to Cooley, Portis, and others when Collins became the starter.
