It really started when JKC passed and then Snyder gained ownership a couple years later. Why? Because the front lost their sense of being a proud franchise and instead become a franchise seen more as caring about profit rather than winning.

Then Snyder screwed up firing Marty in 2001. Snyder couldn't stand to be pushed around. Then he hires a scum like Spurrier when he should've kept Marty or hired an up and comer like Marvin Lewis.

Then hiring Al Saunders was braindead. Gibbs finally had the offense rolling at the end of 2005 and instead bring in Saunders and his 700 page playbook and it's been a disaster since then and I don't see it getting any better

I dont think it is necessarily just one bad move that has doomed us. It is bad move after bad move after bad move after bad move that has really ****ed us. That's why I think Allah hates us.

Looking back, do you think that trade paid off? Riggs was very vital in 1991

Not really. A 1st round pick seems like a lot to give up for a guy that ended up as just our short-yardage back. Byner ended up taking over the role Gibbs envisioned for Riggs. I think we could've picked up a tough short yardage guy for a lot less.
