NASMTrainer
I was wondering if anybody here has a family member that is in the Corps and in Iraq? My wife and I would like to put a care package together and send it to them for X-mas. If you could pm me that would be great. And yes, I would like it to be a Marine. Thanks
pez
I just got a call and will be donating to the Retired Naval Veterans who are putting together care packages for those overseas... I would suggest contacting the USMC by going through their DC barracks. Their Public Affairs Office number is: (202) 433-4173 Let me know what you find out, and maybe we can get more folks involved...

NASMTrainer
just out of curiosity why Marine only? Semper Fi, was in the Corps for 14 years. They hold a special place in my heart man. Not that I don't appreciate what the other branches are doing.
Sarge
You know, there's 60,000 or so members here. No reason this can't be an ass kickin' Christmas from ExtremeSkins. Iraq is turning around, due for the most part to the guys and girls that are serving on the ground. We owe them a lot If we can get enough stuff together, maybe we could even get the danny to ship it
Westbrook36
It doesn't have to be just Marines. www.anysoldier.com www.anyairman.com www.anysailor.com
rtbasye
not to show my army bias but... the average marine is serving a 7 month tour in Iraq, the average active duty soldier is serving 15 months. Embracing the suck is a little bit harder for the Army IMO right now but- anything you can do for any of the troops (or jarheads, squids, or flyboys!) is a great thing. Huly
If anyone wants to bring a few items to a tailgate we can put a huge box or a few boxes together. What items are most wanted?

What items are most wanted? http://www.bootsonground.com/soldier-requested-items.htm http://www.give2thetroops.org/items.htm Jerky, nuts and hard candy are the food/treat ones I get the most requests for. Calling cards are also very welcome.
