Well,

I bought an IPOD shuffle. I lasted this long. I stayed away because i didn't want to be stuck using Itunes. I couldn't fight it any longer b/c there wasn't any other mp3 player that was more brilliant than the shuffle.

which are the main reasons why i hated my creative nano player. Now i don't have to bother searching for triple A batteries every morning before my runs.

Anyways, for your IPOD veterans out there. Is there a way i can decrypt downloaded itune songs from other computers so i can play them in mp3 format in other places?

You can store your iTunes music as MP3s. Then you should be able to move them around without difficulty.

I got my Ipod nano for free when I got my MacBook. I was a skeptic and really didn't feel the need to get one, but when I was given it for free, I figured what the hell. I have to say that this really is the a great product.
