dayumnuttinleft Posted January 7, 2003 Author Share Posted January 7, 2003 McCoo is a good back, great speed 4.3, but also fell into Joepa's DH due to academics. Was considered one of the fastest on the team next to Eddie Drummond who is now the return man for Detroit. I wonder what this does to Gillespie ???, I thought for sure that he was the third piece to the RB situation for next year. McCoo also had a pretty good preseason playing with the Bears this year, made it to the last cut, lead them in rushing in 1 or 2 of those games. redman Posted January 7, 2003 Share Posted January 7, 2003 With Betts and Watson now the apparent starters at HB, or at least in line to get significant carries, I doubt that they'll also be our KRs. If Watson becomes the 3rd down/change of pace back, he might also play KR. But still, this overall situation means to me that the 3rd RB, whether it be Gillespie, McKoo or someone else, will be on the roster at the beginning of next year based in good part on what they can do for us as either a PR, KR or both.
