headexplode
Next, they'll change the company name to Happy Time Freedom Fighters, Inc. or something like that.
Sisyphus
We're probably in agreement for the most part then I'm just speculating that the move to Dubai is a pre-emptive move to protect them from some of their sliminess. Halliburton isn't uniquely crooked, but it seems to have really taken advantage of a lot of folks and many of those who bare the direct price shouldn't have to. Are they just moving the HQ to Dubai, or are they shifting the company ownership to being foreign-owned? If the former, they aren't doing much to protect themselves. twa
Ya'll are amusing  Dubai is turning into capitalism central, the move is simply a result of better business climate and possibly the anti oil bs that is spewed today. One of the benefits of restrictions on exploration. But why Dubai? It's closer to action http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/business/4620932.html added: A possible point of interest to some Kellog,Brown and Root(the military contractor) is being spun off from Halliburton in the months ahead. (The same reason Hillary moved her 10-year-old billing records to the White House?)
HSF
If they move, government auditors will follow. Trust me! ( I am one of those famous government auditors) They will get nailed for every last cent no matter where they go.

(The same reason Hillary moved her 10-year-old billing records to the White House?) Why do you think they had the HQ in Houston instead of a branch office? HSF is correct, moving headquarters will have no effect on any auditing. speaking of which...is 10% disputed billing unusual in no-bid contracting? HSF?
