Skeletor The Invincible
Gone after this game. 12 yards is pathetic.
bulldog
the poor field position and the poor punting of 38 year old Bryan Barker is why you don't waste your early opportunities. The Redskins were in Jags territory twice in the first half where they came away with ZERO points and instead of it being 17-7 or 14-7 it is only 7-7 and it appears the Skins will be down at the half. Altogether not a smart half of football on offense. The defense has been reasonable solid, especially on the ground, but the offense got 18 yards on its last three drives. That's not enough to feed even the smallest bulldog

Hoosierskin
What a bone-headed call by Coughlin...thanks for saving us at least 4 points!!! No wonder they wanted Spurrier in Jax!
Buddha
You gotta keep after Brunell with blitzes or he'll pick you apart all day. Just need to reserve one interior guy to get over and break up the screen action.
OaktonSkins/BushFan
why the timeout?

Hoosierskin
This is why they pay Spurrier the big bucks! Let's see if he can make the adjustments Joe Gibbs used to be so great at! If he is half as good the Redskins go home with the victory!

OaktonSkins/BushFan
Damn - Ramsey has a cannon! I can't believe one of our WR didn't step in front of that pass for a TD. Sh**
Skeletor The Invincible
What can we look for in the second half? -Run The Ball a bit more. Spurrier isn't going to pull a Marty on us, but even he said we're going to do what this team does well. You haven't run the ball Steve.
PCS
Doering seemed to think he could have if he wasn't held. S.S. may have put Patrick in simply for that play because of the obvious bigger arm. Going to find out in the second half though.
bulldog
well, if it's only 10-7 the Redskins can consider themselves lucky to have escaped at the end of the half. Barker is a guy I still haven't forgiven for his refusal to go in and kickoff in the opener after Conway got hurt. Those two poor punts in the second quarter were just more evidence that there is a reason you don't see many 38 year olds punting in the NFL. But back to the offense. Spurrier has to realize that Matthews is still erractic on his throws and he is going to have to mix in more of the run and pick his spots. Except for the first drive there wasn't a good mix in the first half. Jacksonville is #26 against the run and yet the Skins are attacking their defense as if it is futile to run and passing the ball is the only way to move it on them. Didn't anybody look at the Giants/Jags game from last week?
OaktonSkins/BushFan
Like I said, SOS is calling a decent game overall although he could have leaned on the runa bit more. Shane is in a funk and isn't producing and is making mental mistakes. I guess this means Ramsey is in for the second half - let's hope his time off will pay dividends. Fred Smoot Fan
I predict Betts rushes for 100 yds in the 2nd half with Kenny hurt while Ramsey throws for 200 and 3 TDs.

Exactly Bulldog, the Jags are the #11 ranked pass defense, which is pretty good, considering the Skins are only #14 against the pass with our all-world cornerbacks. That zone defense....sure levels the playing field.
gamecockskins
WE goot play better in the second half, the first half was terrible. I hope Watson is OK
