Spaceman Spiff
Trying to rip a cd to my computer and I can get all the songs except ONE song on. It's scratched, although it doesn't look that bad. Can't find the song anywhere online, or else I'd download it and put it in itunes. Don't want to buy the disc again because its a double disc set. What's the best way to fix a cd? I used to run them under water, but that doesn't work with this. Anyone got any tips?
Blondie
I have been told that toothpaste on a soft cloth rubbed into the scratch will fix it. I have neved tried it however. Blondie
Zguy28
The Skip Doctor. I've heard it really works too. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005B9W6/102-9945824-6549744?v=glance&n=172282
drums and skins
Toothpaste works for deep scratches sometimes. After rubbing it on and removing the excess the leftover stuff that fills the cracks crystalizes so the player has a second chance to read the data in that place... It doesn't always works, but its recommended the most. I've also heard people recommending the use of Pledge, but thats just for dirty discs, I believe. oriolesfan93p
Skip Dr. or Disk Dr. their products rock, they basicly wear away a layer of the disk untill the scratches are gone, which doesn't hurt the rest of the disk.
