fansince62
"Please.....not every move is to be taken as some roster defining acquisition. You guys are getting all worked up over a guy who might not even make the team. We haven't even gotten to the draft or June 1st cuts yet and you guys are acting like Walter's already cemented his spot on the roster. This is a guy they want to bring to camp to see what he can do, not someone they sign and give a roster spot by default. We have an entire offseason left. A lot of guys will be shifting on and off the roster...." errrr....no. no matter how small...these moves take time and have a cost. if it doesn't make sense...why do it? to save you the effort...yes...the coaches know more than we do. ouvan59
John Cooper, the Buckeyes coach at the time, called Walter a team "cancer". http://espn.go.com/nfl/news/2003/0430/1547404.html Cooper testified in Franklin County Municipal Court that he considered Walter a "cancer" on the team. Maybe Gibbs is bringing this guy in to make sure the offensive and defensive lines don't get complacent in preseason. They'll be fired up and ready to fight every day. minionskin
That holding call was Rabach, but if you want you can blame Raymer. -Camp Fodder

rick1796
walter is a fairly talented guy who didn't play with the texans last year because of INJURY. he was still recovering from surgery. We got him cheap because the guy has charecter issues that became very evident in his time with Ohio State. Truthfully i kinda doubt after everything is said and done that he will make the team, but i like the fact the staff is going out there and bringing in bodies to compete for the o-line depth positions. painfulyetloyal
Relax guys once again. He's here for depth. He may not be good enough to be a full-time starter. But if he can be a part-time stopgap we got exactly what we need. Depth. Yea, well what good is depth when you stick Corey Raymer in at right guard? EXACTLY. Whats the difference? These guys are bums. Corey Raymer and Ray Brown were much better than these guys, with experience alone. If we sustain an injury at 0-line this year its not going to be good....
