For example, the Mayan calender ends on Dec 12, 2012. The Mayan calender has been able to predict every astronomical event with 30 mins. Now, tie that in with Astrology, and around 2012, marks the end of the time of Pisces, and the start of the age of of Aquarius. Pisces was the time of Jesus Christ, and of learning, whereas the Age of Aquarius is supposed to be the age of enlightenment. Maybe, it's not the end of the world that they are trying to predict.
