skinstzar
We don't save 12 million. We take a cap hit of 12.1 million by releasing him. That is what meant so why is ESPN so adimant that we will release him????
thewagen
We will have to cut a few beyond that list...no doubt. Oh H$ll yes! To reduce that $17M they're gonna resemble a hurricane evacuation... Much much more cutting to do. FS
akorn22
So basically it would be in our best interest to cut everyone on that list except lavar (and I don;t care about the charge, i want lavar on this team. He;s a good player. Our defense was better in the games he did play.)
PlayAction
We don't save 12 million. We take a cap hit of 12.1 million by releasing him. The reason that pundits believe the Skins will cut Lavar is based upon 1) his behavior during the season, and 2) the bonus 0f 6+ million due this July. Cutting Lavar will result in a net cap hit of only 100,000+. So it is a wash from a cap standpoint whether you keep him or cut him. But, Snyder has to pony up 6+ million cash for a 2 down player. Of course, if you cut/trade Lavar you still need to fill his spot so the cap consequences of cutting him are negative. It would be a lot better to redo his contract. Lavar is not going to make the same salary elsewhere IMO.
