AbleDanger
Dan has owned the rights to a Washington, DC Arena football team for years but has done nothing with it. Is he ever going to make good on that investment?
Jofizz
I think Dan will put this off until the skins win the super bowl again.

Redskins are his priority and should be. It kind of irks me though that he leveled the Capitols Centre and sold it to a developer who made into a shopping center. He could have put the team there. AbleDanger
He didn't own the Capital Center. He had access to the parking lot for Redskins games. Was that a deal he had with Abe Pollin?

AbleDanger
and the Mystics. Oh yes. I forgot about the all-important Mystics. They could always play their game out in the parking lot.

HOF44
I don't think either one seats enough people to make it worth his while. Comcast Center holds 17,950. Thats plenty big enough. Patriot Center holds 10,000. That would be to small.

BlitzFiftySix
Danny boy signed a patent with the trademark office for the rights to the name Washington Warriors. There was some talk that there would be a team in 07 and they would wear the throwback spear helmet/uni's.
AbleDanger
Comcast Center holds 17,950. Thats plenty big enough. Maybe he just doesn't want to go that far north then. Or maybe the only thing stopping him is that his primary focus right now is the Skins.
HOF44
I think its just that he's concentrating on the skins and six flags right now.

I would personally prefer something different like the "Washington Warpath." "Warriors" is kind of overdone.

Although there are not many professional teams with the name "Warriors," there are plenty of high schools that have it (my high school mascot was a Warrior). In additon, warrior is a phrase that's overdone in movies and the media. Remember that crappy movie about those gangs? The name "Warriors" lacks creativity and is a bit cliche`. "Warpath" is not overdone and it has a clear link to the Redskins because it is taken out of a line in our fight song..."braves on the warpath."
