LD0506
I know that some of us tape/record games for our own entertainment- mainly an offseason fix in my case. What would be the legal status of recording games to share with others, privately, no money changing hands, strictly a matter of helping out fans that can't get them? I ask this because I have spoken to a few Skins fans in the UK and apparently you have to wear a crown there or something to be able to have a choice in what you see. Is there an actual legal restriction or impediment to this? Let's hear from some of the board lawyers, I know you're out there.
cjcdaman
I don't think there is a law against it, unless you are taping it and selling hundreds of copies to make money. I don't give a :pooh:. If I am going to miss the game, I will have someone tape it.
SkinnedAussie
I record the 'Skins games to DVD when they are on here, but only replay them in the privacy of my own home. Whenever I have someone come over to watch a (recorded) game, it would still be in the privacy of my own home. I believe it's all about where you watch the copies.
