SUNSTONE
A fifth or sixth seed hasn't never made it to the Super Bowl in the 12-team format, and only two (1995 Colts and 1996 Jaguars) even stayed alive to the conference championship round. That's why the Jaguars, Steelers, Panthers and Redskins are going to have to buck history to make history. We are going to make history!!!! :redpunch:

Guest ComebackKing
Sure hope so but what are the odds we win at tampa, THEN beat Seattle AT SEATTLE. THEN VISIT CHICAGO (If the Bears win next week which they probably should) AND WIN??? It'll be history for decades if we do it thats FOR sure. Art
It is not going to be easy going on the road and taking a series of wins, but, this team is built in a way that a run is entirely possible.
December90
Bucs - We beat them but got screwed by the refs. Next time we wont leave room for the refs to screw us. Seahawks - We beat them once and can do it again. Da Bears - We beat them once and can do it again. SKINS WILL BE IN THE Superbowl

SUNSTONE
Tampa, then the over rated seattle team, I like that road. Then follow that up with chicago probably. Here is the question, has a 6th seeded team ever been this good?

PotomacSkinsFan
WILD CARD SUPER BOWL TEAMS Wild Card teams have advanced to the Super Bowl eight times – including the Baltimore Ravens two years ago when they became the fourth Wild Card team to win a Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs performed the feat in 1969, the Oakland Raiders in 1980 and Denver Broncos in 1997. The eight Wild Card/non-division winners to play in Super Bowls: Season Team Super Bowl Result 1969 Kansas City Chiefs Defeated Minnesota in Super Bowl IV, 23-7 1975 Dallas Cowboys Lost to Pittsburgh in Super Bowl X, 21-17 1980 Oakland Raiders Defeated Philadelphia in Super Bowl XV, 27-10 1985 New England Patriots Lost to Chicago in Super Bowl XX, 46-10 1992 Buffalo Bills Lost to Dallas in Super Bowl XXVII, 52-17 1997 Denver Broncos Defeated Green Bay in Super Bowl XXXII, 31-24 1999 Tennessee Titans Lost to St. Louis in Super Bowl XXXIV, 23-16 2000 Baltimore Ravens Defeated NY Giants in Super Bowl XXXV, 34-7 http://www.ihavenet.com/nfl_2002_wildcard1.html Also, the Panthers did it a few years ago (I think they were a wild card team)

PotomacSkinsFan
well, i know that the ravens were a wild card team when they won. I loved that year since we beat both superbowl teams, so im giving us the win that year (now, thats logic)
