bcl05
One of the more interesting and unexpected sights in week 1 was Sean Taylor lined up at WR in the red zone. I haven't seen it since. Was this just a smoke screen? Was it seriously considered and scrapped, once it was clear our offense was just fine without him?
H-O-G
It was just something to throw off the defense.
Cooooley
Im pretty sure we haven't seen anything like it since is because ST has not been 100% healthy. :gaintsuck
zoony
It was just something to throw off the defense. I dunno, the replay of that series shows Taylor running a quality route and turning back to the QB looking for the ball. He could have been a decoy, but I doubt it. I think the offensive staff saw something on tape (the Bears smallish corners/safeties) that made them think they could get a favorable matchup down there. Besides, didn't they say ST has something like a 11' 6" vertical? ....
Mountdrago
Im pretty sure we haven't seen anything like it since is because ST has not been 100% healthy. :gaintsuck As important, if not more so, is that the entire secondary has been decimated with injuries. I would think the staff thought it wise to not risk injuring Taylor by playing him on offense while the depth on defense was so limited.
