Teller
I respected Quick. That's why I used him as the example. But as far as Monk goes, fans of other teams just don't understand. The guy wasn't flashy. He wasn't particularly fast. Didn't usually make the huge 60 or 70 yard play, just made EVERY 10 or 15 yarder. He was the consumate professional. Got it done year after year, pretty much under the radar screen. I got through on Tony McGee and Doc Walker's old TV show the week after he broke the record, and it just seemed like he was almost embarassed by the compliments. And you could just tell, he HATED talking about himself. Maybe if he would've talked about how great he was people would've taken notice. But I like the way he did it a helluva lot better. WeaponXDawkins
You're on it man. Preach. I watched them both play. Irvin was better, hands down. I respect what Monk did but my opinion is Irvin was the better player.

Monk was a Pro-Bowler in '84, '85 and '86. You were what, 16 or 17? And a Philly fan? Monk deserves the Pro-Bowl...he doesn't carry any cocaine baggage.
