  1. I have seen a lot of people suggest trading Terry and I just can't get on board with that. Terry is a #2 but he's a leader and can really help a rookie and any new receiver we draft (I swear if we draft another tiny receiver I will lose my mind - we need someone 6'3+ and physical). Terry's not a #1 on the field at this point but he's consistent, a pro, has the right attitude and work ethic, and by all accounts is good in the locker room I really think he's necessary for any rookie. Now Jonathan Allen can go if he wants.
  2. 😂😂😂😂😂
  3. Is there some sort of prize given for length of time posting here? Like a jacket or something? A visit from Major Tuddy lol? Again how you feel about my posts is of no consequence to me. In fact, feel free to not engage. But I have posted actual stats, data points, analytics, etc. If you choose to ignore them, that's totally fine.
  4. Cool however you seem to be an outlier here since that has NOT been the comp for him across the board. Just like everyone constantly mentions that the current consensus among scouts and media has been that Williams and Maye are 1 and 2, the consensus has also been that Maye is comparable to Allen or Herbert, not Burrow.
  5. Ok. Again we disagree. For some reason you are taking this personally or getting defensive/hurt because your opinion and mine are different? Odd. You like Williams, that's fine, like who you like. Its not really of consequence to me. We'll see who the new GM and HC like and hopefully everyone in the front office is on the same page and get it right.
  6. Maye is the safest option with the lowest ceiling. Even if his ceiling is Josh Allen or Josh Herbert or Trevor Lawrence like so many scouts have cited, that is 3 QBs who have accomplished significantly less than Mahomes (Williams) or Jackson (Daniels). And whether you agree with the comps isn't the point - they're the ones most often mentioned by the scouts and talking heads that everyone loves to quote (including Spielman)
  7. I didn't know Howell was that slow. Ok I stand corrected on that one although Maye's game speed does not seem fast. I would be interested to see if he has a better 40 time than Daniel Jones No thanks. We disagree and thats fine.
  8. Is he faster? I just rewatched him vs Clemson and I'm not sure that he is that much faster than Howell tbh. He certainly wasn't running away from any of the players on Clemson's defense
  9. Welp LSU fans should be happy. Today definitely ended any conversation about who should have won the Heisman
  10. I'm sorry, JJ has only 6 completions passing and we're about to hit the 4th quarter???
  11. Yeah he has not impressed at all either
  12. His first round picks aren't as much of interest to me than his evaluation of QBs. He traded away a 1st and 4th for Sam Bradford then drafted Kellen Mond to be the future of the Vikings franchise which is part of what got him fired (on top of Ponder and Bridgewater). To his credit, he did take full responsibility for pushing them to draft Ponder and admitted her was wrong. Getting Kirk was seen as a good thing at the time but considering what they got...maybe not so much since the Vikings haven't gone anywhere in the postseason since Kirk got there, he was paid a TON and Kirk is likely to be moving on now.
  13. Yes so again while it is fun to talk about his perspective, when he was in the GM position he made absolutely TERRIBLE decisions and was just flat out bad at scouting the QB position (also was instrumental in Kellen Mond)
  14. Rick on Maye (calls him the poor man's Trevor Lawrence): Also the Rick Spielman takes are fun but I believe the only two QBs he had a hand in drafting were....Christian Ponder and Teddy Bridgewater so I'd rather he not be involved too much in that decision (and I don't think he will be)
  15. Lamar is 6'2", 215 (was actually lighter when drafted)...imagine if the Ravens said that about him and passed Anyway, everyone will have their preferences. It'll be fun seeing how the combine, pro days, interviews, etc shift things for each prospect (hilariously Rick Spielmen seems to change his mind every month, he wrote Williams was generational in October and then was less effusive when asked about him in December after some rough games)
  16. Spielman on McCarthy and Penix https://www.the33rdteam.com/2024-nfl-draft-cfp-scouting-preview-michael-penix-jr-j-j-mccarthy-will-decide-championship/ Spielman also offered his thoughts on Daniels (this is from November so before the season was over and he won the Heisman) https://www.the33rdteam.com/2024-nfl-draft-lsus-jayden-daniels-joins-top-3-qb-conversation/
  17. Whomever the GM and HC decide I will support. Interestingly enough I think Daniels will shoot up draft boards after the combine and Williams may fall after interviews. I do think Maye is the safest but also has the lowest ceiling.
