  1. We got people going through the 5 stages of grief already. Good lord, give the kid a chance if he really is the pick
  2. I’d wager those HoF guys wouldve been just fine whether they sat or not…thats why they’re in the hall of fame. Our #2 pick is not sitting, whether its maye or daniels. Trading howell all but confirmed that and still people are throwing out this old-school mentality as if our situation is remotely similar to the one those teams were in. I’m sure GMAP is really thinking “gee wiz, I can’t wait to kick things off here on a great note by trotting out marcus mariota to lead this team” he’s a veteran, mentor presence, that’s it. God forbid he ever has to see the field at all besides garbage time of a blow out.
  3. Agreed. Nothing could beat that first season, started to go downhill a bit after that especially when smash and riggins were no longer in the picture. Loved the movie too
  4. Daniels after a bad quarter: He’s a bust Maye after a bad month: We just need to be patient
  5. Would rather just do that and trade back up for mccarthy at this point instead of suffering through this incessant maye vs. daniels war any longer
  6. I really have to hand it to you all - you will find any way to spin something in Maye's favor and being a sure lock with this FO, whilst simultaneously getting in your jabs at Daniels. Draft night will surely be a sight to behold if it doesn't go the way many in this fanbase are projecting
  7. An extra 2nd would be perfect here in that we trade two of 34/36/40 to move up for an OT like Fashanu and still have a remaining 2nd rounder to play with. Maybe that TE Sanders
  8. Also isn’t the ACL/whatever area of injury ultimately rendered weaker after an injury, even after full repair? I.e. much more likely to get re-injured as opposed to an area thats never had a major injury occur. Another reason i wouldn’t want penix.
  9. Forget the super bowl bet, im putting my money on our guy getting ROTY might throw an over on ekeler’s total touchdowns too, i bet they’ll have it real low
  10. Valid points. Now, you made a point that Daniels is a home run or strike out, no real in between. By contrast, Maye would be the safer pick, with a higher likelihood between the two of falling in the middle of both extremes and just being average (if he didn’t pan out). If we really wanted to swing for the fences, as many on here have touted, it seems to me that pick would be Daniels, would it not?
  11. The giants are taking nabers, they have zero weapons on the outside. Poor guy won’t be able to hide his disappointment on draft night
  12. I think the problem is some of the anti-JD crew coming in with “RG3 this, bobblehead that, LSU has a superior team, he’s skinny”….that dilutes a lot of the substance of proper pro-con evals between the two. I mean **** I wanted DM, but there’s a lot of compelling video and expert analysis to like JD also…
  13. It's not a strategy anymore and most of those studs that sat for a year did so because there were future HOFers or high level established starters playing in front of them, not marcus mariota
  14. Why not? The texans turned it around completely within one year thanks to their stud rookie QB in stroud. That's the model we should be trying to emulate and look at the moves they've been able to make precisely because of his rookie deal
  15. If we take Maye, yes. If we take Daniels, it'll be more like 80% losing their minds saying we should have taken Maye
