  1. Worrisome stat for Drake London. Boom or Bust.
  2. I could care less if we do if it's a trade down or Drake London. There are quality Safeties available later. Dax, Cine, Brisker, etc.
  3. Completely off topic (kind of) but a player I hope they try at LB is Shaka Toney. Think he would be an awesome rush-SAM. I thought that was the plan based on Del Rio post-draft interviews on drafted players...but it never materialized during the season. Could be a Bruce Irvin type player if he hits his ceiling. Fingers crossed.
  4. I think it would be a really tough decision for them. Keim has said we like the top OL. Depends on the offer I suppose. If we got a bounty for the pick, I think we'd trade
  5. If bet you a large sum of money more Starters come from the middle rounds of this draft than the last 5 years I think you're just a contrarian
  6. I think we will see a huge difference this year due to level of talent. I say at least a half dozen UDFAs this year. Later in the Keim Podcast discussing potential late round gems: 1. Damien Pierce - Peyton Barber but better, runs through guys. 2. Brian Robinson - less mileage on him, another bruiser type. 3. Hassan Haskins - not a bruiser, can do a little bit of everything TEs 1. Charlie Kolar - Huge dude, soft hands, solid blocker, boxes out defenders 2.James Mitchell - Versatile, can play it or outside. Played a little WR for tech. Lots of potential. Says this TE class has 8-10 guys who can be solid pros. OTs have 20 guys that will play (crazy!) OL Cole Strange - nasty, great pick if we got a 3rd rounder in a trade Keim reiterates there are some guys in the 1st round that would be very tempting Spencer Buford - good senior bowl week Lecitus Smith - played well for tech, 4th 5th round LB - Keim said regardless of buffalo they still want to add a LB later Leo Chenal!!! - great size, would be a steal in the 3rd. Doesn't get moved in the run game. Damone Clark!!! - serious injury but will be a great pro when healed. Lot of potential. 6th-7th round but would have been a 2nd 3rd rounder. Keim added that even though we didn't run 3 LB sets that often there are games when we ran it more like philly, and theyd like to have the personnel to do so. WRs Wandale Robinson - Short, dynamic playmaker. Size may scare some teams off Romeo Doubs - Height,Weight,Speed guy. Great finding holes in zone. Kick returner. Keim went out of his way to bring up Alec Pierce - seen as 3rd round guy may go late 2nd due to run on WRs
  7. Just listened. Love that Keim specifically said "The option that makes the most sense is trading down, and he thinks it heavily depends on what happens with the QBs" Man I hope they are all on the board at 11. That, coupled with the quote from the anonymous GM that he thinks the trade ups start at pick 10 at the earliest...we are in good shape. I think Option A is trade down if we have the partner. If not, Drake London or Hamilton. If we don't trade down at 11 because we couldn't find the partner, I think it's also likely we try to trade down from 47, which I don't like nearly as much because it likely moves us out of range for Walker or Hall. Either way, we're trading back at some point. What also excites me about this draft is the comments that even the UDFA pool is going to be better. If we scooped up someone like Smoke Monday in UDFA I'd be very happy. Gonna be a lot of good developmental guys available.
  8. That's the thing. Everyone agrees it's not as top heavy of a draft. That's why I want to trade down so badly. It's rounds 2-5 that are strong. We will see more Starters come from the mid rounds this year than any draft in recent memory.
  9. Was just about to ask the same. Im late to the game on Strong, but at first glance I'm already excited. Dudes cuts are unreal. Very smooth, doesn't lose speed when he jukes. Interesting. Love seeing Keim talk about trading down in his latest tweet. Speak it into existence Keim!
  10. Normally I'd agree with you. But this really is a special year due to covid.
  11. RE: Trading draft picks this year. POTENTIAL TRADES Club executive 1: “Teams have gotten really aggressive with trades. I’m starting to hear teams offering to package picks and players to move up—not just picks. So instead of trying to trade up five spots in the first round, maybe this year you’ll see a team offering a one, a three and a player they’re down on a little.” GM5: “If any team in the top six or eight wants to trade down, they won’t get what the trade chart says they should get. You don’t hear much trade talk till a day or two before the draft anyway—except for teams alerting you to keep them in mind if you’re thinking of moving your pick—but this isn’t the year to get rich on your high picks.” GM4: “I laugh when I read around this time that the trade market is heating up. Most of the time, nothing really substantial happens till the day before the draft, or day of. There will be trades, but I don’t see many until after 10 [the 10th overall pick].”
  12. More talk about how deep this draft is from multiple GMs COVID MADE THIS DRAFT DEEPER GM6: “When so many college players had shortened seasons, or no seasons [in 2020], a lot of them chose to stay and play a regular year last year. That’s why the draft’s deeper this year. Not just at the top, but all the way through.” GM7: “This is the year to have a bunch of day two and day three picks. And I think the pool of undrafted free agents will be better than usual.” GM8: “One of our analytics guys was talking about how Covid made this draft richer. Look at all the picks Baltimore has in the third and fourth rounds. [The Ravens have seven in the third and fourth combined.] Those picks are absolute gold. They are going to have a great draft. Five years from now, that will be the story to look back on.” GM9: “I’m extremely bullish on the third and fourth rounds, into the fifth.” Coach 1: “This draft, in terms of high-quality players, kind of drops off the cliff after about 10 picks. But the depth of make-it players who will contribute is very good.” SO JEALOUS OF THE RAVENS. SMH We need to take advantage of whatever team is dumb enough to give up mid round picks. I don't care if it's the cowboys. Make the trade. I'd even give up future picks for more picks this year. If we traded future picks for a long snapper last year we better be agressive this year. edit: kinda wish we still had Kyle Smith on staff along with our new GMs right now..
  13. Man with all these people saying it's the hardest draft to mock, and the sentiment that it's the deepest class in NFL history, then that article about players that will surprise by how high they get drafted... The draft couldn't come sooner. Sounds like we're in for a wild night next Thursday. I really think the writing is on the wall for us wanting to trade down. Starting to feel better about the early Olave interest all being due to an "if we trade down, we like Olave" vibe. We brought in Garrett Wilson, we're really doing our homework. The overwhelming feeling of our visits screams trade down. Just a matter if we find the dance partner or not. Wearing my pajamas backwards sleeping with my fingers crossed that some team comes calling with a boatload of picks for 11th overall.
  14. Wow. Andersen sneaking into the 1st? So much for us getting him in the 3rd....womp womp.
  15. I'm of the mindset we would have played more in base if we had competent linebackers. If we didn't need a LB, why were we so much worse when Bostic went down? Why did Rivera consider him such an integral piece? I think we definitely are targeting a MLB. Just a matter of when, and definitely isn't going to be Lloyd in the 1st. Hopefully someone like Muma falls to the 3rd or Andersen in the 3rd. I'd go nuts if Chenal fell to the 3rd.
  16. I wouldn't go as far as banking on Mayo being our starter again. He's serviceable at best but I think we bring in someone either via draft or FA. It may not be as big a need as replacing Landon, but a need nonetheless
  17. Agree with all points. Hope we trade down and Ive been big on Beavers for a while as well. He fits the defense great and has sneaky upside as a pass rusher. I'm glad he's on our radar.
  18. While I understand we don't run with an MLB as much as we have a Buffalo Nickel on the field, I think having one could really improve the defense for when we ARE in base. And Damone Clark is a way to get us one without spending premium draft capital or spending money in FA. The team has said the LBs were better with Mayo, a real Mike on the field... And I think we'd be even better with a Mike more talented than Mayo. If we get an athletic enough Mike, he could kill two birds with one stone, playing Mike in base and Flexing out to Buffalo in Nickel. Like Andersen. However I don't think we fill the needs that way, unfortunately. My favorites to fill the need right now are Beavers in the 4th, or Damone Clark in the in the 6th + a Veteran FA. You don't think we will add a Mike at all this off-season? Keim has even said they are interested in a Mike later in the draft.
  19. If we don't address LB in 1-4, I'd like to see us draft Damone Clark and stash him on IR. After Beavers I feel he's our last shot to end up with a top-level MLB from this draft, just wouldn't be available right away. I would be happy with pairing Damone Clark with a cheap post-draft FA at LB. We have to get LBers somewhere if it's not in the draft.
  20. See I disagree with pigeon-holing Chenal as a traditional Mike-Only guy. I think while he may not be polished in his man coverage because he wasn't asked to do it much, he's good in zone and has the athleticism to be great at both. His pass rushing however, hes elite, almost Micah Parsons level. Now where Beavers is unique, is that he's a converted DE and can bend the edge unlike a lot of LBs. He's very intriguing in that regard. I agree with your assessment of the Safeties. I don't like Brisker as much as I like Dax Hill and Cine. I'd probably rank them in that order with Pitre 3rd, in that order. Have you watched Percy Butler? He's an intriguing guy too. He's Chris Simms 5th ranked Safety.
  21. I just love Chenal and think he's gonna be better than people think. I like him better than Lloyd but know I'm in the minority there. He's a better Blitzer than Lloyd, I also think Beavers could be a deadly rusher but he's not on the same level as a LB as Chenal and Lloyd. What about Pitre? Where does he stack up in your Safeties?
  22. 1. If he fell to the 5th round or something ridiculous that obviously isn't going to happen. 2. Like Kdawg, right after Walker is off the board. They are 1a and 1b for me and a clear cut above the remaining RBs 3. If we miss out on Walker and Hall, I too like Robinson but also am a big fan of Damien Pierce out of Florida. Feel like he'd be a good compliment to Gibby. 4. I can't stand the thought of missing out on Walker or Breece. I'm married to Chenal at LB (Hot take, he will be better than Lloyd). He's my number 1 crush. Also Watson and Pierce at WR, and to a lesser extent, Andersen at LB/Weapon Just have a feeling those dudes are gonna be great players.
  23. If we trade down does Jameson Williams become an option? And what if we drafted him along with another slot WR like Khalil Shakir or Bo Melton? Gives Wentz another weapon right away while waiting on Williams to recover.
  24. I think the same line of thinking applies to Lloyd for me. With Keims comments about buffalo being more important to the FO over MLB, and with guys like Chenal/Muma/Andersen/Beavers available later... Don't really care for Lloyd at 11. Add Brisker to your list of Cine and Hill and I 1000% agree. Who are your favorite trade down spots?
  25. Just like WR I don't feel the drop off in production from Hamilton would be too much different from Dax Hill/Brisker/Cine. There's just too much talent at positions of need to not trade back. And the drop off of those players compared to the ones available at 11 isn't huge IMO. It's very minimal. The draft is loaded at positions of need for us and we could really set our team up if we play the draft smart.
