  1. I was the same, I thought he came across disingenuous, it was a pretty average look for him Still, he now plays for a far worse team than ours, I hope the extra couple of million a year is worth it for him and his agent
  2. WB, this is an oversight on my part, I did have both Way and Rouillier on there but took them out as I thought they were a given Personally I'd like to see more from Gibson in receiving, but the intention of the post was to point out that we shouldn't kid ourselves into thinking that outside of the few above we have a strong roster, we really don't its average to middling and unless we get proactive it'll stay that way
  3. - Carson Wentz - Chase Young - Jonathan Allen - Terry McLaurin - Montez Sweat - Antonio Gibson - Ereck Flowers - Kam Curl They are our main players anything outside of that non rookie, if it got cut or traded its not a huge deal Would genuinely like us to get a bit more pro active, not for the sake of it but to generate space to try and bring in genuine stud players that take us to the next level
  4. Bish made this point on the junks earlier and it struck a chord, hardly any cap space, and hardly any stars on the roster Looking at some of these players with rose tinted specs, start getting ruthless and being more aggressive in the market imo
  5. It really is a priority I agree, do we have a realistic shot at either Marcus Williams in FA or Kyle Hamilton at 11 in the draft?
  6. Regards cap, there are a LOT of players on our roster that we should be willing to let go if we needed to, I wouldn't mind seeing us get a little more pro active and cutting some of the rubbish we've got to bring in a stud or two
  7. Iv spent days being really apprehensive about the Wentz trade but the national reaction of roundly condemning a guy who is nowhere near as bad as they'd have you believe is a joke, I genuinely hope he shuts these people up, he's got the ability that's for sure That said and this is me contradicting myself if Sam Howell is somehow there in the second I'd pick him up and let him learn behind Carson, risky business I know as the guy has shown he doesn't take well to those situations but we have to do what's right for Washington
  8. Not really sure I understand the Sims logic on either side, he barely plays here so why would he want to stay, I’d rather move on now
  9. I don't really have a massive amount of distain for the player himself, its more the injury record he brings with him IMO drafting wideout at 11 is a must now, If he is their man give him every single possible chance to succeed
  10. Without wishing to be too reactionary its a hard sell this, I've cut Ron a lot of slack since he came in, I thought he was a safe pair of hands at a moment when the franchise desperately needed it, but we're two years in now and there's two things that really stand out 1. I once thought Ron wasn't much of a risk taker, iv come to realise he's just a plain bad one. Two big decisions in his two years stand out, he wildly over drafted Jamin Davis in a position he of all people should have known better. Now he's spent two 3rd rounders and $28m dollars of $33m available to find out if Carson Wentz can roll his ability back 4 years and complete only his second full season in what would be 7 years. 2. He's raised the floor but lowered the ceiling, this is what he does, and this move is no bigger show of that. He'll get you picking between 10 - 20 every year, Wentz will get you picking between 10 - 20 every year, its not quite the Gruden levels of disaster, but make no mistake there will be no deep play off runs. His one big success was Cam Newton with the 1st overall pick a borderline can't miss. All this imo stems from not wanting to fall foul of the old Snyder hire and fire routine, short term mentality for his own job security leading to the stagnation of an already stagnant franchise, and when Wentz is announced officially he'll piss on our backs and tell us its raining. Very disappointing
  11. Disappointing, seems the only really elite player left is Desean Watson Worth noting Seahawks jump ahead of us in the draft too with an obvious need at QB, if that Avenue was ever going to be fully explored
  12. I didn’t miss it, I just don’t see the sense in paying Barkley all that money with all that injury baggage. Maybe if his fitness record was better, but like I said he wouldn’t have been available then Look at the reasons why these two players are moving on: Barkley - injuries Cooper - Finance, Dallas couldn’t afford that contract Cooper’s injury record is better, and as we’re in the process of trying to get a QB you have to give them something to entice them, the idea of throwing to Terry, Coop and Samuel, that’s a genuine selling point for us
  13. You’ve answered your own point here fella, and I’d maybe be right there with you if it wasn’t for Barkley’s injury record. But then again if it wasn’t for that, I suspect the Giants wouldn’t be in the business of trying to offload him Offer a QB the chance to work with Barkley or Coop and they’ll choose Coop every single time, and that’s what this off season is about
  14. We need to be in the business of acquiring elite talent, Coop is just that. Make the call, do the deal, point blank
  15. Slightly underwhelming position to be drafting This is the off-season we have to get a QB, whether it’s draft, trade, whatever. If they try going into a 4th off season next year looking for the answer it’s just not good enough No QB, no chance of competing. Hell even the teams with good QB’s don’t always compete
  16. CMC is a tricky situation what a talent, just rarely ever healthy I can’t even decide if it’s an attractive weapon for a QB to want to come and play with, on one hand he can do it all on the other there’s gonna be a LOT of handing off the ball Attractive though it may be to pursue a trade, I’d pass purely on health
  17. What’s the consensus in here? I don’t like tanking, we’ll at least not too openly anyway I just can’t see how we lose to NY, unless they start claiming to shut players down for the year etc and the players aren’t going to go for that Ultimately I think we finish 11th in the draft
  18. Out of interest do either of those go beyond us with a win? You’d have to think even we can’t lose to the giants last game
