  1. Damn, this is turning into a fun day!! I love it when this place us filled with positive energy abd excitement! The doom and gloom stuff has the exact opposite effect, however. But today is starting off great! AP hasn't even ****ing told Kingsburry what he's gonna do!!! lol The stones on this guy!
  2. Folks... I'm feeling McCarthy is absolutely going to be our pick at two and you know what I love it. Because you MUST have serious convictions that the kid is going to not just be a solid starter but an absolute superstar to draft him at two under these circumstances. Go for it! This is gonna be a wild ride but I'm on it all the way!
  3. Jayden Daniels on Get Up just said he hasn't gotten any assurances that tge Commanders will draft him. In a situation where you have the 2nd pick, you know you’re not trading it, abd you're close t0 100% certain who the first pick is it wouldn't be out of tge ordinary on the morning of the draft to let the prospect or his agent know your intentions to select him as long as he keeps it confidential. AP could be simply holding his cards close to the vest right up until he makes our selection (and that seems likely), or this could signal that we're still considering a trade or picking a different player at two. Video at link below. I couldn't figure out how to inbed it... https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/40021902 via @ESPN App http://espn.com/app
  4. ****, I made a serious senior error. I wrote trade back to 4 while I meant trade back to 3-- so that we just have to worry about who the Pats pick. If you hadn't responded, I wouldn't have noticed my blunder. Going to edit my post now. Thanks!
  5. Clear evidence of pure unemotional objectivity, and countless hours of laborious and precise scientific inspection of the analytics and the all 22 video right down to the smallest granular detail. .
  6. Assuming Greenberg has solid inside info this could mean a trade back, perhaps to 4 3 allowing the Patriots to select the popular presumptive second best qb in the draft, Daniels, while we take the qb we always wanted most-- either McCarthy or Maye. Peters picks up additional draft capital for our rebuild/retool and we still get our guy. Like it, as long as we know the qb we prefer will be there.
  7. Just added this to my overnight list of vids on the draft. An obviously weary Hoffman and Logan Paulson after months of discussion and video review reveal their final pre-draft rankings. Best QBs 1. Caleb 2. JJ McCarthy!!! 3. Jayden Daniels 4. Drake Maye For the record, if AP and our decision making hierarchy agrees with this, and if they don’t believe they can trade back without risking losing McCarthy— then I say, go for it, draft the kid, and deal with the inevitable public backlash head on. I respect people who have the courage to back their convictions. Especially when it goes against so called, popular opinion. They just better get it right, or heaven have mercy on them, because I sure as hell won’t. Here’s what Logan and Hoffman think...
  8. Having an insomnia night so I decided to post a few last day vids for you guys to wake up too. Hoffman interviews JP Finlay on last day draft info... John Keim on the Commanders as they enter the final stretch... Albert Breer gives an update on the qb dilemma the day before the draft begins... RGIII shares a brief moment of uncommon grace and humility... Schefter with insider reports and updates on possible draft day trades... Schefter and Rich Eisen in Detroit talk about the draft, their careers and their friendship... Eisen interviews Louis Riddick on quarterbacks and more... In their final pre-draft rankings, both Hoffman and Logan Paulson stick to their beliefs and reveal their top 4 qbs in order. 1. Caleb 2. JJ McCarthy!!! 3. Jayden Daniels 4. Drake Maye Here’s why… .
  9. The best thing at 5 Guys is their fries. I like my burgers medium rare, but they have a "medium well" policy to avoid getting sued for undercooking which often leads to hockey pucks. I had one kid a few years ago who used to hook me up with medium rare burgers on the sly, but they fired him (not because of me btw). XXXXXXXXX "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul."
  10. In the combine vid the team made Chris and AP were talking about him. Very interesting....
  11. He eats what I would eat to try to lose weight. Somebody needs to take the poor boy to a rib shack for a slab of ribs, some smoked brisket, mac and cheese, oninon rings, and some sweet cornbread, followed up by a trip to the corner store for a basjet of fried chicken wings and a sack of extra crispy fries hosed down with mambo sauce, then top it all off with a slab of homemade hot apple cobbler topped with whipped cream, cheese, and butter pecan ice cream. After that take a 2 hour nap to get your belly rested for dinner. Put me in charge. I'll have him reporting to camp at 225 or better. .
  12. Posting the mock for those interested but too lazy or drunk to click the link... Benjamin Allbright 2024 NFL Mock Draft ByBenjamin Allbright Apr 24, 2024 As I think everyone at this point knows, I do one mock draft every year. This year I decided to project some trades and have some fun with it. Advance intel: -I think there is one very specific scenario in which the Broncos would trade up. I did not project that here, but if a certain QB were available at a certain point I think they would TRY. -There are a couple teams I'm aware of that are monitoring and would possibly move from the second round back into the first. The Texans and Commanders are two of those teams. I believe the Commanders want an OT. -The Bills have made calls about moving up for a WR, but as of this writing I don't see that happening. -There's a lot of talk centered around Michael Penix in the first recently. Most people I've talked to, their teams aren't considering that but could see another team doing that. I'd suggest that the leading teams to trade back in and do that would be the Patriots, Giants and possibly the Raiders (who love Jayden Daniels). -There are some WR that may be traded during the draft that could definitely shake up the outcomes (Aiyuk, Sutton). -Quite a few teams trying to burn the phones up as of this writing to get up and get their tackle. I expect a lot of trades. So without further ado... Bears - QB Caleb Williams. This is a no brainer. Everyone has known this since the Senior Bowl when they were openly shopping Justin Fields, despite reports to the contrary. Commanders - QB Jayden Daniels. Almost universally everyone I talked to had him over Drake Maye. Patriots - QB Drake Maye I really thought the Vikings might crack and make the trade to get here. Ultimately Pats take Maye. Cardinals - WR Marvin Harrison While a trade back is possible, I suspect the parties that'd be interested simply aren't willing to give enough to move them. Vikings (via LAC)* - QB JJ McCarthy Trade up! After missing on Maye, four QBs in the top 5. Vikings only give one first this year. Giants - WR Malik Nabers Several teams have him as the top WR in this draft. Titans - OT Joe Alt Don't rule out a WR here. Falcons - EDGE Dallas Turner Best coverage edge rusher for a scheme that demands their edges drop back at times. Latu in play here as well. Saints (via CHI)* - OT Olu Fashanu Saints move up and fill a huge need. Jets - TE Brock Bowers Versatile mismatch TE/ off the line Y for Aaron Rodgers. Fuaga a consideration here. Chargers (via Minn)* - OL JC Latham I think the Chargers can get quality WR help later. Eagles (via Den)* - CB Quinyon Mitchell Eagles trade up to get their corner. (give up pick 50) Raiders - CB Terrion Arnold Raiders could look to go OL here as well. Not buying Penix at 13 hype. Bears (via NO)* - DT Byron Murphy Bears land the premier IDL talent in the draft. Colts - WR Rome Odunze Slide stops here, adds a weapon for Anthony Richardson. Could see trade down here. Seahawks - OT Troy Fautanu OC Ryan Grubb was his collegiate coach 49ers (via JAX)* - WR Brian Thomas Jr I projected an Aiyuk trade and pick swap here Bengals - OL Taliese Fuaga Slide stops here Rams - EDGE Laitu Latu I think OT would be a strong consideration here as well. Steelers - OL Graham Barton The Steelers need at C is well known. Russ needs clean A gaps to operate. Dolphins - OL Jackson Powers-Johnson I think they'd love Barton to be here, but McDaniel will love JPJ personality Broncos (via PHI)* - EDGE Jared Verse Possibility the Broncos could move back yet again and grab more picks. Nix is a day two talent. Vikings - OL Tyler Guyton After not giving up this pick in trade (future picks) the Vikings get additional QB protection. Cowboys - OL Amarius Mims Cowboys have too many needs to trade up, take the OL that falls in their lap. Packers - DB Cooper DeJean Versatile DB can play safety or corner. Wouldn't be surprised to see Packers TRY to move up. Buccaneers - EDGE Chop Robinson - Couple options here CB or edge. ultimately went edge. Commanders (via AZ) - OL Patrick Paul Maybe a bit earlier than expected. Bills - WR Xavier Worthy Bills tried to trade up but were unsuccessful. Land a WR anyway. Lions - CB Kool Aid McKinistry Lions could be a trade back candidate here, Ravens - OL Jordan Morgan Went back and forth with this one. Probably my most debated pick Jaguars (via SF)* - CB Nate Wiggins Wiggins could slip to 2nd. Chiefs - OL Kingsley Suamataia BYU connection again for Reid? .
  13. Is Charles Robinson that guy whose famous for last day drafts that nail picks no one else predicts until AFTER his draft comes out? If so I’ll bet he’s right that McCarthy is going to NE and the Vikes are getting Maye at 4. According to Keim we were strongly considering McCarthy at two. XXXXXXXX It’s decadent but good! Tell ‘em Commander Rye sent you and you get a free cajun fry. .
  14. Yes, that’s how I knew it had to be 5 Guys. I used to get a chocolate, peanut butter, banana, bacon, milkshake, cajun fries, and a bacon cheeseburger loaded with all the fixins and the patties liberally sprinkled with cajun seasoning before they’re grilled. Years later I’m still waiting for the last of it to finally be expunged in a bowel movement. .
  15. Hopefully, that’s not a “drive up the price to make a trade” smokescreen. I’d much rather see Drake in the AFC than in the NFC or even worse in NY. .
  16. Welcome to the forum. Great first post. Love the name choice. It’s nice to see a few still know that Homer refers to more than just a character on The Simpsons.
  17. They bought Jayden a chili smoke and chili cheese fries from Ben’s, doesn’t that count?
  18. Do we even have a football VR room? Snyder was so cheap near the end I could see him refusing to pay for it.
  19. Yikes!!! She MUST have had some serious bad ass compensatiing factors, the kind of thing that makes your toes wiggle, to get away with that.
  20. I have a suggestion. No matter who we pick tomorrow night, after we pick him, can we reserve this thread for qbs that are actually on our team. We can then dedicate another thread for those interested in talking about players on other teams that we didn't draft and their exploits during training camp and the season. Just a thought.
  21. I just realized, that with my visions issues 160 can be hard to distinguish from 180-- particularly later in the day or at night. 😃 Sometimes it's a real **** getting old. Die young, healthy and happy is my advice. lol
