Starting to really love this hire. Especially knowing that DQ was a candidate from the start. Excited to see how he and Peters build the rest of the staff. Moving onward…

I really don’t think it will be Weaver. I’m sure MacDonald will poach the Ravens as much as he can and he’s had more time to do so. That’s even if Weaver decides to stay and fill the DC spot left by MacDonald. All signs point to Quinn and who he might be able to bring in with his connections in Dallas and around the NFL. Unless Peters is waiting to poach someone from SF like Griese. Especially considering that we should be drafting a young QB with the #2 pick.

I don’t really understand why people keep saying that we dropped the ball with this hiring process? Because we waited for Johnson? Who did we miss out on besides Raheem Morris? MacDonald still available Quinn still available Glenn still available Weaver still available Slowick was available until a couple of hours ago Who is to say that MacDonald, Quinn or Glenn weren’t our top choice? And if Ben Johnson was the top choice, what could we do about him flaking out at the last minute? We are in more competent hands now. We need to start shedding whatever lasting effects Danny Boy left on us. We’re in good hands!

In BJ’s defense, we were going there regardless. But still not a good look. Very unprofessional. I’m sure it will affect him going forward.

To be fair, Olave is a number one option and Dotson a number two in a new offensive system with a new QB. A lot of WR tend to flash in Year 3. Let’s see how it plays out. I think he’ll be just fine.

I want Peters not only for the knowledge and talent he possesses as a GM but a cherry on top would be sticking to Shanny and Trent for the stunt they pulled which allowed them to acquire Trent for less draft capital. F both of them and F the 9’ers!
