  1. I'm sorry but that is laughable... Drake Maye looks like a project to me....he's not polished at all. He throws a wobbly ball, throws off his back foot consistently, is extremely inaccurate unless he's throwing a 5 yard hitch and has no poise in the pocket. If he were 6'1 he would be a Day 3 QB. His Virginia film is sooooo bad it's hard to watch....Duke is hard to watch. Joe Milton is the cross between Bledsoe and Allen. Drake Maye is a cross between Jordan Love and Kenny Pickett Watch Joe Milton vs Bama and Florida and then try to stomach Drake Maye against Virginia, Clemson or Duke.
  2. I would have traded for Fields....especially for a low round pick. He's got a skillset that you have to prepare for. Worst case scenario is that you don't re-sign him and he turns into a comp pick. Only reason we didn't sign him is because you need a backup that can help a rookie QB. Fields is the guy in need...that's why he's sitting behind Wilson.
  3. I feel excited for Sam....he's got a cannon arm and now he has a serious deep threat in DK and WR's who can get open. Sam's a good QB and he will be a starter again. Still extremely young too.
  4. Wish these mock drafts were realistic
  5. I would bring in Becton to be our starting RT. Here's my top 5 free agents for offense and defense. Offense: #1: OT Trent Brown Pats 7M Brown one of the best tackles in the league. Dominant pass blocker and run blocker. #2: OT Mekhi Becton Jets 9M Gets to come back home and work alongside Sam. He still has a ton of upside #3: RB Tony Pollard Dallas 5M Luxury pick...but he's electric and gives us juice in the backfield. #4: WR Jamison Crowder WAS 1M re-signed him and we get a savvy slot WR and a returner. #5: OG David Edwards Bills 2M I liked him a lot out of college as a tackle. Versatile backup at OG. Defense: #1: DE AJ Epenesa Bills 6M The kid can play and he's only getting better. #2: CB Kendall Fuller WAS 10M Hometown kid with ball skills needs to stay home. #3: LB Blake Cashman Texans 3M Explosive athlete who is getting better each year. #4: LB Willie Gay Chiefs 6M He's got a few red flags but he's dynamic. #5: S Darnell Savage Packers Misses tackles but has tremendous ball skills.
  6. I think Maye sucks, I don't care what anyone says. Just watching his Virginia tape, South Carolina and his last collegiate game....he's not very good. He may look like Justin Herbert standing in the pocket and running the ball, but he doesn't have Herbert's arm nor accuracy. To me it's Jayden Daniels at 2 or it's trade back for a draft haul and get Brock Bowers. But I am excited about the possibility of Daniels...I see Maye falling in this draft
  7. Maybe because he's extremely talented and because our new GM traded for him. It's not impossible for Chase to come back to DC. Oh yeah...you see what he is doing in the Super Bowl. When you get him playing with effort he's phenomenal. I think Quinn could get him playing with high effort.
  8. I really like Winfield as well. I would hate to let Curl walk but he doesn't get the turnovers we are looking for. Don't forget that Derrick Forest is an incredible ball player and has elite ball skills. He is going to be our starting FS Jartavius Martin is going to be a stud and has locked down the nickle position. Forbes should elevate his play in Quinn's defense as well. Juste is here incase Forbes flops, but Juste being teammates with Winfield in college will only help get him here in DC. Resign Fuller for sure....he's a ballplayer and makes plays. Hope he gives us a bit of a hometown discount (11M/yr) RCB Fuller LCB Forbes NB Martin FS Forest SS Winfield Wishlist on defense: Jadaveon Clowney, Chase Young and/or Isaiah Simmons. All 3 of these guys have elite traits for sure. Probably a pipe dream but I want to think Quinn could get Chase Young to play to his potential. But I think Simmons could be really special and affordable.
  9. Okudah is very physical and that is his calling card. His physicality can be viewed as an elite trait and we are looking to be fast and physical. I honestly think Okudah and St. Juste are pretty much the same players. Physical, pretty fast, sticky coverage but no ball skills. I think we pass on him. How about Isaiah Simmons??
  10. If I am Washington then I am locked in on Randy Gregory and Isaiah Simmons. They both have tremendous skill sets
  11. Skip is the average fan.....he couldn't name 5 back ups on that team. I certainly wouldn't put any merit into what he thinks about QB play.
  12. Could have picked up Callahan but the Titans jumped on him last week as their Oline coach. Unfortunately he had to go with his son as the Titans HC. I am wondering what he is going to do with Kerrigan and Randy Jordan. He has coached Zgonina in Miami so he might stay. But we have a lot of holes to fill.
  13. Harris always looks tired....Peters is still pretty young so obviously he's a little nervous. But Dan Quinn....I'm excited about. He looks like Stone Cold Steve Austin and he has great energy.
  14. I was about to type the same thing. I would be extremely disappointed. The NFL had figured out ol Chip last time he was in the league.
  15. This new regime has NO LEAKS at all. It's amazing how nothing gets out of this organization. Boomer probably had a good source in the Ben Johnson camp, but not on our end. I think we will find out soon enough....hopefully before the weekend.
  16. That a great question....but no coach will effect what happens at #2. I think Adam Peters will select the best player available. My hope is that it's either Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams or Brock Bowers.
  17. I agree....if you can coach then you can coach. Most of these guys can coach but we need a guy who can lead. I want Dan Quinn! Especially when he brings Al Harris along with him. Obviously he can round up a stud cast on the defensive side, but has relationships with the Shannahan tree as well. I would anticipate him reaching out to Mike Lafleur with the Rams to probably run the offense. I think Quinn is our guy.
  18. Makes you scratch your head about Bill Belichick. He's going to leave the game as the best coach in NFL history and he is sitting there available for the taking an no one is biting?
  19. Dan Quinn would be high on my list. For one....he made it to a Super Bowl and we can't get into the playoffs. His defense didn't play well in the playoffs but they are at least in the big dance. Plus they have dominated since he has been there as a defensive unit. You have to remember that wherever he goes you also get Al Harris as well. Very talented coordinator who appears to be able to teach, motivate and get guys to be productive. Our defense would be light years better if we could land Harris and Quinn. Also, I know how everyone wants Bienemy gone....but we all saw how well his offense worked with Jacoby at the helm. I think Bienemy brings consistency and we need more coaches like that. I would really think about bring Bienemy back and attempting to lure Bill Callahan back as well.
  20. I don't think anyone here can say that he was a turd his rookie year. It seemed like he was full throttle every play. I personally never saw him not pursuing the ball or loafing. Unfortunately, he's just not hungry anymore. He has certainly cost himself some money with his reputation to not play within the scheme.
  21. Chase Young is just different....extremely talented but just hasn't found that incredible effort he had his rookie year. Really strange because he had MAXIMUM effort as a rookie then it just appears he just go the big head and just doesn't play team ball. His talent will get him another contract, but he's certainly missing that spark that made him special.
  22. I don't ever remember Bill operating a defensive team that wasn't good to great. He's a defensive mastermind...and now he's a bum because he's not an offensive guru either? I would much rather have Belichick as HC and Hank Fraley as OC rather than Ben Johnson as HC and Hank Fraley as OC. If Johnson comes in here and isn't running the offense then I would be disappointed for sure. I know that he would be very hands on, but I would want him to be calling plays. If hired he is going to need a great defensive coordinator. I would lose my mind if we were able to get Bill as a defensive coordinator and just name him assistant head coach and let him handle the defense.
  23. I wouldn't waste a second round pick on JJ. I DO like the idea of bringing in Cousins, but he ain't coming back to DC. I'm just glad I'm not calling the shots because this is an ultra hard draft to navigate for us. I like Marvin Harrison Jr but I'm drafting BROCK BOWERS. I think he is going to be the cornerstone of this offense. I love Jayden Daniels and I think he's a risky but sky high ceiling....but I'm drafting BOWERS. Caleb is talented but one weird kid....we could move up to the top pick and he say he's not coming to DC.....I'm drafting BOWERS. Deep class of OLine and we can get one in the 2nd round....draft BOWERS.
