I'm not surprised, to be honest.  In fact, it was one of the reasons I was concerned about Alex Smith vs. Kirk Cousins, the lack of WR involvement.  Keep in mind, Alex Smith was the QB of the Kansas City Chiefs team a few years back that went an entire season without a WR catching a TD pass.  And that team had Dwayne Bowe on it.

I don't know if that was a function of Smith himself of Andy Reid's offense, but it was the only time that has happened in 40-50 years.  In SF, his favorite target was Vernon Davis.  I'm sure there's probably a website somewhere that breaks a QB's TD's down, as far as what positions they go to.  I can't say for sure, but I'll bet Alex Smith's stats will show that our WR better prepare for a lean season.

Interesting stuff. Personally I find it hard to believe a team can be successful without utilizing the wide receivers but if what you are saying is true than i guess its possible since smith took teams 5 different seasons to the playoffs.

    Kenny Britt

Jeremy Maclin (Alex Smiths receiver in Kansas City)

Brian Quick (familiarity with our offense)

    Dez Bryant

    Martavis Bryant

    Corey Coleman

    Kendall Wright

I wouldn't mind taking a look at Jeremy Maclin

When it comes to a guy like Dez, I am not concerned about him not being what he was 4 years ago, I am concerned about where his own head is at.  The last thing this team needs is a guy who is going to walk up and down the sideline throwing tantrums if he feels he isn't getting thrown the ball enough.  We don't need that noise here on this team.  Dez still has something left in the tank, I don't doubt that, however I am not sure if this is the right place for him to land outside of the fact that it would be interesting to see him go up against the Cowboys twice.

Yeah exactly, This guy is a sideline tumor, No thx.

  2. A little concerned about the lack of involvement with our WR's yesterday not that we needed them with CT & AP running all over the field but lets be real here. We can't rely on screen passes and the running game for all 16 match-ups. There are going to be defense's that force us to beat them on the outside and stretch the field. Also Doctson had a drop on a short slant yesterday, not good.

That would definitely help in resigning Crowder next year.

People would probably be disappointed with RIchardson though

Im not expecting that much out of Richardson, Not that i think he is bad, I view him as a great addition to this team especially when you consider he is Pryors replacement. We don't need a superstar to replace Pryors production all we need is someone who can make a wide open catch.

If he does, what kind of numbers are you expecting from Reed, Crowder, and Richardson as well as CT out of the backfield?

Thats a good point & i know where you are going with this but its not that crazy to believe we or a team could have 3 - 1000 yard receivers. We did 2 and almost 3 in 2016. Pierre Garcon, Djax and Crowder with 800. So for the sake of answering your question...

    Doctson 1000+

Davis & Reed 1000+ (Will Reed really make a full season ? So both should combine for 1k)

    Crowder 600

    Richardson 600

    CT 500+

Rest of the WR & Backs 400

    4100 yards for smith

Not interested in Mack.  If the team was primed to win like Minnesota than taking a shot at a Super Bowl with a high prized acquisition makes sense but since I believe the Skins will have to battle to get over .500 I don’t think a trade makes since.

These are my thoughts as well. You don't make a move on star linebacker in this situation unless you are gearing up to make a run on the SuperBowl.

  6. Watching NFL Network and they are doing a year in review special from the 2017 season. Can't believe what i just heard . Ryan Kerrigan's 70+  career Sacks put him in a elite class with only 2 other players in our team history to ever record 70+ sacks in a Redskins uniform. The other 2, Charles Mann & Dexter Manley. WOW....!

  7. Was on youtube this morning watching video of Cousins sling the ball around with Adam Thielan at some sort of Vikings mini camp and the comments were littered with Redskins fans explaining how Kirk sucks and how he will let them down....... I guess all fans do it to some degree but the amount of people with such venom for Kirk was surprising.    Keep it Classy skins fans

I feel the spear on the helmet is a much more intimidating look, especially in such a violent sport such as american football.

Go with the spear logo, a more modern scheme of burgundy and gold and less busy sleeves as stated above.

Forgive me for the cliché, but it would definitely be more "cooler".

Yeah, call me a millennial all you want, but Snyder/Allen ain't doing any favors generating new fans and creating excitement with their "tradition".

Nope won't call you a millennial at least this time....., i have more respect for the younger skins fans than anyone else and you are 100% correct about creating excitement. At least the old timers have their Super Bowl Nostalgia, you guys have Clinton Portis & Gibbs II. Don't get me wrong i love both to death but not exactly glory years of domination there.

Even though this is not something i would want I would understand a drastic uniform change if the younger fans really wanted it, You guys are the future generation of fans and like you said the product they have put on the field year after year has been mediocre at best.

I think the unis need a massive overhaul.  I don't give a crap about preserving the past, or heritage, etc -- make them look better.  The yellow pants are gawd-awful and I don't like the huge white and yellow stripes down the middle of the helmets.  I've seen mock ups for modern concept unis for the Skins that look great.  New, fresh,...I want that.

By any chance did you write and produce the Last Jedi ?

Jokes aside even as a traditionalist who has loved both current (gold"yellow" pants burg jersey) and the white on burg pants i do feel we could use a subtle upgrade. Iv seen the Nike mock-ups and artist renditions and most are hideous, in my opinion at least. Im a old fart though and i can understand how the younger generation would appreciate a more "flamboyant" style. Been to foot locker or sneaker shopping lately? Did Nike intentionally go with some of those color schemes or did someone vomit a rainbow on the sneaker conveyor belt? But the kids are wearing em so they must be "hot"...

Personally If tomorrow i wake up and Dan Snyder has gifted me the team, I would bring back our 83 uniforms with the curved feather. Yup the old fart would keep it subtle and retro. Basically those exact uniforms, id even remove what ever kind of metallic gloss they use on the helemts today and remove the shine from the pants as well. The only thing i would change would be the logo, Id make it bigger . Think Tampa Bay and the way their flag just about covers the entire sides of the helmet

  10. I don't know about you guys but this has been the worst NFL Playoffs i have ever watched in my life. Can we get one game today that is close? I cant remember the last time we were 6 playoff games into the postseason and not one produced a close nail biter. What is going on ?Why are all these games turning out to be so onesided?

I would expect both games to be great ones today , we shall see
