  1. Atleti has given up two goal leads before....
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmobq6DSh64 One team was a bit worse than the other... And I didn't think at the time that Fabregas' hand was stomped either. But check out 5:30 minute mark.
  3. There are so many few moments this season to look back and on be happy about. This one though has me excited like we just won the league. And what a goal by Hazard! I think he's back... But **** the spuds. That lot are a bunch of coward, no good thugs. Hacking players left and right when it was near the end. 9 players booked. Eye gouging, feet stamping, tunnel fighting, dirty sons of ****es. I hope it's another 50 years of no trophies for you wanks. Poor form by a bunch of whiny babies. London is blue tonight, and every night. **** off Tottenham, go home and lick your wounds. Good on Ranieri for winning the league.
  4. Interestingly enough, Chelsea have the opportunity to decide who wins the pl today. Win or draw and Leicester win the league in one of the most unexpected outcomes in league history. Hell, it is THE most unexpected. Shout out to Ranieri for the job he has done this season. I hope that today Leicester wins the league...and selfishly I hope it is Chelsea who deliver it. London is blue!
  5. Where are all the scousers?? On match day no less!
  6. If Atletico get a goal at Bayern it's probably over. Can't see many teams putting up three goals, although Bayern would be one of the few that I think could. Atletico is just so damn good defensively that if they are able to score early, they can sit back and pretty much kill the ball. Very similar to how Chelsea had success in the back half of last year in the EPL. Score early through open play, then park the bus and dominate defensively. Boring, boring Atletico!
  7. Bayern and atleti are the two strongest teams left. Madrid has the best player left and with him they can always strike. Not really sure how the hell city got here...
  8. Had a grade 3 sprain a few years back and recovery was terrible. Had to have surgery...worse than a break. If Origi has that type of damage it's over 6 weeks. If he is grade 2 the 6 week timetable seems pretty realistic. I watched the replay of his injury and that was just a really poor tackle. late, studs up, and on top of the foot. Then he came off the pitch patting the badge...what nerve
  9. gameplay is atrocious this year tbh. the midfield is basically a ping-pong match until someone can somehow complete 3 passes in a row and are then instantly in on goal. Scripting/momentum/handicap has teams with 65% possession, 15 more shots on goal, and 7 more corners losing games 3-2. Playing offline can even be worse. If you play against World Class and up some of the things the computer can do are absolutely astonishing...while your players act like a baby giraffe learning to walk in quicksand. Rant over.
  10. As much as I hate to admit it I play as PSG in Fifa 16. Zlatan is beastly.
  11. Depending on how bad the sprain is, many doctors would actually prefer a clean break. Sprains often times cause more damage and are a longer recovery deal than breaks. Liverpool putting up what looks like 37 shots is insane. Didn't watch the game but that rat Martinez is now looking gone.
  12. Rumor around Chelsea is we want Lukaku back and are willing to pay top dollar. Lukaku has always talked fondly of Chelsea as well, even after he was sold. I think Stones and Lukaku are pretty much gone from Everton...it's just a matter of time. Agreed with Pulisic. He's so young, it's shocking he has gotten time with the first team at BvB. a real testament to the kid's abilities.
  13. This is exactly what would happen if Mourinho took ManU over. Instant contenders and would win the premiership sooner rather than later. Like I said, I'd rather them sign someone else and be scratching and clawing for top 4 than ink mourinho and essentially guarantee themselves a league championship in the next three years. That's the contract you sign when you get mourinho...kinda like deals with the devil.
  14. Mourinho's whole schtick is 3 years, win as many trophies as possible, and then leave. That I can agree with as it's basically proven at this point. However, his tactics working for only smaller clubs? He has managed some of the biggest clubs in all of Europe, and is set to do so again next year. He has been a winner everywhere he has gone. He has a very certain style of play that will anger some, but that doesn't mean it's not inventive or creative. There were no better cheers last year than when opposing fans would sing "boring boring Chelsea" because it meant we had a stranglehold on the game. Chels lead end to end last year in the most competitive league in the world, setting numerous records along the way. If he goes to ManU, they will get better. As far as leaving clubs worse off than when he came...well if Chelsea's current season are any barometer then it wouldn't look pretty for ManU in 4 years time. However, I'd much rather have Utd remain on the precipice of top 4 for the next decade (by not signing mou) than have them win a couple of trophies for a few years and eventually slide back down the table (as they will if they have mou).
  15. Fabregas came out and said that Mourinho's downfall was "trusting the players too much." Fabregas speaks good English so there is no bad translation here or misuse of words. trust. Since Mou left more and more players have come out in his support...Mikel, Fabregas, Costa, even Hazard some. This Chelsea season is clearly square on the shoulders of the players....even they admit it...and still Mourinho gets sacked. I don't really care how he portrays himself to the media..they will paint the portrait however they want. But the players really do seem to like him, and his tactics are generally good (we won the league last year for cryin' out loud!). I think Roman is more to blame than Mourinho (we signed literally none of the players Mou was begging for) and the players definitely need to be held more accountable. We pay Hazard 200k a week for literally 0 prem goals. Anyway, I think mourinho could make the best of that Utd group. And certain for the short term as GHH mentioned. He will definitely require his players. He is responsible for letting go of two of the top performers in the prem this year (De Bruyne, Lukaku). His persona is probably also responsible for us not being able to sign John Stones. Oh well, time to move on. Just a bit bewildered how the manager is held so accountable the year after winning the double and the players are given a free pass (after admitting it's their fault). I think Conte is going to come in and do a major overhaul over the next two years.
  16. Would be great for me. Keep Jose away from the prem (he would instantly make ManU a force) and also us blues don't have to face him every year and face all the awkwardness. Gotcha. Was wondering if you were part of the kickers. Richmond is a nice campus, especially the lake. Hopefully they have you playing on the football field and not the intramural fields. Let me know if you make the championship I'll swing by and give that Captain of yours an earful. "We want RR88! We want RR88!...."
  17. They've done Leicester wrong this game. Every call against them, including a penalty call for west ham and a clear penalty not given for huth. Too bad, really. Still think they win but now Tottenham have a real shot. And just as I say that...they are given a pen. Wow
  18. Good win for liverpool yesterday. Interesting to see how many reds are actually on this board participating. Are most of you English? Lived in Liverpool for a time? Favorite team in FIFA that carried over to fandom? Either way must be pretty exciting for you and your club today. And it's well deserved. Must admit I am shocked Dortmund gave up a two goal lead twice whilst also leading away goals. I thought they were a better team than that. But to Liverpool's credit you guys won the game, Dortmund did not lose it.
  19. After the world cup James was set for a move to a huge[r] club. Part of Real's thinking has to be "if we get this player and he rots on the bench he can't beat us."
  20. Well, looks like city will do it. One group of mercenaries beats another. At least it's the BPL mercenaries that win!
  21. Vardy has had his off-field troubles, and that's why you'll see a bunch of people show disdain toward him personally. As for Leicester, I think it's great for the BPL. All the new TV money is going to add parity. It's probably not sustainable as Kante and Mahrez are probably gone this summer transfer window. Next year I don't think you'll have a team like Leicester in the top 5. Chelsea by all accounts will be spending big, and as much as I hate to say it Tott'm looks set up for sustainable success. If Jose goes to ManU they're going to be on the up and you've got Arsenal Man City and Liverpool all probably vying. Everton will be getting worse before they get better as Lukaku/Stones are primed for a move away. Anyway, as long as Tottenham don't win it this year I'm pretty happy.
  22. By no means do I think Costa is an angel. I assume it's probably how most people feel about Suarez, which is why I drew the comparison. It's nice to have them on your side, but every opposition's fans will boo them whenever on the ball. Costa/Suarez get hacked a lot because opposition knows it's easy to wind them up. Part of being the villain, I suppose. Don't get me wrong, I know Costa can be an asshole. As for pool today, I think you'll have a tough go of it. Auba, Reus, Gundogan, and company are top class. 5 points off the top in the Bundes and playing extremely well in Europe. Not to mention Sigal Iduna as one of the top parks in club football with a fantastic atmosphere (never been myself but have heard plenty). I'm excited to watch, I'm just not sure if Liverpool have enough. Klopp coming back could either be a distraction or a much needed boost. we shall see, should be fun to watch!
  23. Suarez, for all the kicking and bad tackles he puts in, stays on the pitch. If Costa had done even half of what Suarez did yesterday he'd be banned again for another 3 games. That said, Suarez is another league from any premier player, let alone Costa. He is remarkable at being at the right place, right time...and is perhaps the most clinical finisher on the planet. Hell of a player, and I think Barca waltz into the final.
