  1. I think its anyone's guess as to whether that lot will work as a team. I bet LVG can't believe the pile of crap he's inherited & before you know it the panic button's been pressed just to preserve some form of respectability this season.

Mata looks likes a waste of money right now, to be added to the Fellaini waste.

Plus, I can see Rooney & his £200k p/w playing in midfield before too long.

Fillaini needs to play in a 3 man midfield and be given one simple task of smacking people around in front of the back 4. That at least we get some kind of use from him until he gets shipped to wherever Moyes manages next for a few million quid. Gutted we haven't signed De Jong but Blind's best position is a DM so it'll have to be him and Carrick when he comes back. As long as we're not playing our 4th and 5th choice midfielders all season long itll look better.

  2. so forgive me for being stupid but I just learned Bayern referred to Bavaria in Germany.  So now it all this Bavarian stuff makes sense to me why they always called them the Bavarians.  Interesting if you are a fan of Bayer 04 since its named after the pharmaceutical company.

Long story short if they're German and put together a couple of strong seasons along with a few national team caps they'll all be Bavarian in the end.

  3. Welbeck had some incentive to go to Arsenal permanently if he wants to stick it to United and play close to home. Put in a couple of big seasons and get sold to City.

Big kudos to Southampton BTW. Everyone wrote them off but they kept their heads and rebalanced their squad and held onto Schneiderlin and Rodriguez which will be huge for them. They may have even upgraded on Lallana and Shaw as well with Tadic and Aldersomething.

  4. As someone wrote today, Di Maria is the icing & Falcao is the cherry.

All Utd need now is the actual cake......

Rojo, Shaw, Carrick and Herrera have yet to play, plus De Jong might be on his way and there's Blind too. That's 4 midfielders that put Di Maria in a better position to cause havoc. Hopefully Van Persie and Falcao have 3 healthy legs between them.

De Jong is imperative IMO and if we can get him vacation time might be over for everyone. Nobody but GHH can tell me Shaw, Herrera, Rojo, Di Maria, Blind, Falcao and De Jong aren't a major upgrade. Not sure about Di Maria being "icing" either he walks into every first 11 in the BPL.

  5. De Jong will be United's last signing if they can get it done on time. Since the back line is what it is at this point it could be a useful signing. He's one dimensional but he's very accomplished at the dimension he's good at.

Imagine what Fergie could have done with this squad.

  6. No, aside from the fact they desperately need defenders and midfielders, it's liable to cause ruptions with Rooney, and all his wages on top of the loan fee (easy to see why we bailed); it's not a bad move.

    Like Di Maria.

van Gaal not there next season. He'll be gone after no Europe and another Glazier panic. How's that for a prediction?

    Hail.

I predict he shaves his and disguises himself as Howard Webb. I also predict it coming out that those Jennifer Lawrence pictures were for me. Stay tuned for more signings if youre worried, possibly also from Monaco.
  7. Nothing outside of media rumor.

Today was Simon all over. He races out and almost gifts 'Spurs an equaliser that was just lobbed over the bar. He flaps at any cross that came in. Then he makes a stunning save on half time that would of given Tottenham a wholey undeserved equalise.

    Frustrating isn't the word.

If you don't see a complete difference in both games I don't know what to tell you save you not watching impartially.

City barely troubled us all half Monday until Moreno's mistake. We had Tottenham pinned back all half and Loris' goal was under siege. However soft the penalty was (and it was a penalty); it was no more than we deserved and far from a game changer.

    Hail.

I dont know Lovern stopped a couple of pending chances. He looks to be your best buy thus far.

  8. Owned? 3 defensive mistakes in an otherwise even game.

Rodgers will figure out a way.

But the options all over the park are very welcome.

    Hail.

If we're going by those standards what would you call Tottenham's defending today? The penalty that changed the game 50% dive, 50% defensive error. If you call the game against City even then this game was even too. How about Balotelli asking to take penalties? Scouse cheek I suppose.

  9. Yeah, forgot you scab so and so's fell that low too.

    My bad. :P

    Hail.

*Edit* And you must be a MEGA club considering you're only 1 European Cup behind Manchester United who we know are the biggest club in the history of the Universe EVER! ;)

    Just England.

  10. The price of carvalho doesn't seem to be the stumbling block. it's the loan-back.

Send Diaby over or Coq (whoever we have left).

Asking for a loan back is just a stalling tactic. Why would Arsenal even consider it he's played in the CL and the World Cup and it's a position of need.

  11. If we lose, Wenger out! :P

If we win and qualify, Alderweireld, Carvalho, and Cavani in!

Please do the latter. Alderweirdhair and Carvalho would be brilliant bits of business if Sporting can be talked down from their original asking price, although Carvalho has the ability to live up to that price IMO, especially with the cover Wilshire and Ramsey can give him.

  12. Listen to yourself. Years of success have spoiled you.

I want the club I've support for 24 years to maintain the status they have worked so hard to gain. Fergie loved playing in the F.A Cup (Apart from the year he forfitted from it and I still hold some resentment toward him for that) but this season is unique. Why would I want to see the club I support or, in order to not offend GHH, am a fan of plummet?

  13. Speak for yourself.

The Lge Cup has always been one of my favourite competitions. I used to love the two legged first round and a trip to a club you'd never play. It gets you a day out at Wembley if you go all the way and European football locked up in the Spring. It's only in the years of the 'greed is good' league that disgraceful managers (of which Benitez was one) have denigrated it by putting out weakened sides. You start the season in England, there's only 3 competitions domestically you can win. The Football League Cup is a major trophy. But if you'd read me regularly on here you'd know my view on this.

It is rather endearing (in terms of your defiance in the face of complete disarray at Utd) that you're still pushing the 'too 4' line though.

Just suffered arguably the worst humiliation in rich Utd's history and one of the biggest ever in League Cup history and you're bullish about the top 4 this year.

    Bravo Sir.

    Hail.

Well there's a wee bit on the line with a top 4 finish, I.E the future of the club. What would and F.A cup and finishing 7th do for United exactly? There are extenuating circumstances this year unfortunately. The loss is terrible from an aesthetic point of view but in the grand scheme of things it's meaningless. In order to not go the way of Liverpool in the early 90s United HAVE to get back in to the CL. If that means playing 40 games this season, so be it.

  14. It's the Utd way.

Mickey Mouse cup unless they have a chance of winning it like against Wigan the last time then it's suddenly a major trophy again.

See above on Di Maria. He'll fit right in.

    Hail.

League cup or top 4 finish? The United way as I remember is being mocked for being knocked out of this cup and being sarcastically congratulated when winning it. You could care less about it too.

  15. yeah it's not like there's ever two sides to a story..... I highly doubt it's as simple as they wanted him out. He's been unhappy for awhile. Personally I don't think he liked James coming and seemly taking his spot. I'm sure he believes he deserves to be a starter with a major contract. I'm sure part of it was Di Maria wanted to get a big contract like the others from what he's done.

He loved playing there and left it all out on the pitch on every game. He's the reason they won the CL final but he was no longer a sexy name so he got discarded. No reason whatsoever to bring someone in to take his position if this club was ran the right way.

  16. professionalism & personal pride.

In a perfect world but I could have told you most of those

players wouldnt have bothered to turn up. Let the kids run around out there the competition is meaningless anyway.

I don't know what rock bottom is, but losing to a club from Football League One and you're a Premiere League club this has to be rock bottom....SMH

Also, MK Dons finished 10th last season in League One. Let that sink in United fans....10th....

Lol. I've seen this club crash out of the league club to lower league sides and go on and win the league. Ill take 6-0 loss to a non league side in the FA cup if it means finishing 4th.

  17. Everyone after me .....

Louis van Gaal is a Football GENIUS!

And to top it off MK Dins manager is a Liverpudlian and a massive red. SWEET!

    Hail.

Ill tell you what if he would have fielded 11 kids he would have got a better result. Why would squad players that know they're not wanted play any better?

  18. Should have fielded a team with 11 kids instead of mentally broken squad players that LVG is itching to get rid of. Morally this could be very damaging but who the heck cares less games to play with a thin squad.
