  1. Was very worth the trip down from NY- from tailgating to the final whistle, the energy was just different.

-is it possible that cheeseman is the worst long snapper in nfl history? Absolutely abysmal use of a draft pick.

-the cards are arguably the worst team in football and it essentially came down to the wire. Not promising for this season.

-there were bad breaks, bad calls, hell even the rain picked up during two of our 3rd Q drives. But any above avg team should bury the cards regardless.

-how is it that we’ve all been clamoring for OL (and ILB) for years, but somehow our personnel officials don’t see it?! I truly can’t wait til Josh Harris sicks his analytics team on our FO.

we won, we did what we had to do, but no matter what happens this season the big picture is better than ever before.

  2. I just read on pft that there are 4 potential teams up for Hard Knocks and we’re the one team that hasn’t directly said “no”. Personally, I’d love it. An inside view of the team would be a blast. Also, the team on hard knocks always seems to win over viewers and we could really use that love. Couple it with the fact that dirtbag is out and it could put us on the fast track to not being viewed as a clownshow.

also, unrelated to the above- will someone smarter than me explain how Quan Martin effects Kam Curl? It seems like he’s the heir apparent, which bums me out. Kam was our diamond in the rough find and I’d hate to see him leave.

  3. A few pages back there was talk about how we have been a run first/TOP offense under Rivera, which is true… but now we have EB whose coming from the most explosive offense in football under the Reid coaching tree. This simply can’t be the same offense with the same gameplan. Do we have the talent to make this work here, we shall see.

I was a heiny guy, but that lack of arm strength won’t be missed.

  4. I pray that bezos wins this team. Not only because of the fact that he has the money to build something special, not only because I believe he’s our best shot at getting us back into DC, but because he ****ing deserves it. If it wasn’t for his biweekly hit articles since he took over WaPo we wouldn’t be talking about a sale. The man was playing 4D chess by acquiring the paper and we’re in this glorious place where the Snyder era conclusion is in sight. I truly never thought we’d be here in my lifetime.

    Bezos, take it home!

RR's got to know that EB's gonna get offers for HC in 2024.  I think EB becomes our next HC in 2024 if we do well and make the playoffs and RR takes another title but has a lot of authority.

He won’t get any offers if he doesn’t improve this offense…

I have a far fetched hunch that EB has been guaranteed the HC job when ron hangs them up… and that’ll be after this season. The GMs are Ron’s guys so they’d be in on it.

otherwise, they the **** would he have come here?? For added play calling duties? That just doesn’t add up to me.

  6. Bezos was my #1… mainly because he has the pull to get back into dc and the money to create something amazing.

my worry has always been dans little man syndrome. Love WaPo or not, we have that paper to thank for this glorious Dan-selling situation. Those bi-weekly hit articles are all to credit.

My hope was that dan didn’t entirely blame WaPo for this… but now hearing that he does, I believe dan will take markedly less to avoid looking like he got completely played.

    kinda bummed.

  7. Carr is top 15ish… never been considered a top 10, I don’t understand the infatuation here… especially if he’d essentially eat all of our cap and price us out of tagging payne.

we’re many pieces away from real success and a slightly above avg qb isn’t the answer. He’s Kirk 2.0. An upgrade, but not the guy who you want to rely on in big situations.

Are you interested in tagging and trading Payne if it’s for a first next year so as to build the kind of equity and flexibility the eagles have going forward to move around in the draft and have cap flexibility?

Coming off his best season and proving to be a top tier DL, this would be a great option if he’s not in the plans for the future. I’d prefer to tag and work something out long term before July, but we just CAN NOT have option C… the walking away for free thing.

They scored 531 points under him.  This franchise hasn’t done that in 40 years.  They also scored 468 points under him.  This team hasn’t done that in 30+ years.

Are u just regurgitating a tweet or have u watched the ravens play? They do nothing to make it move. Yes the put up a ton of points during Lamar’s big years and how have they done in the two years since… oh, we’ve scored more offensive TDs than them the past two years…

The ravens offense has been average the past two years.

And now compare that to biennemy… I mean come on, the difference in ceilings isn’t even comparable.

  10. The ravens offense has done nothing to impress under Roman, so I want no part of this one. Give me the guys who comes from an excellent offense in EB… I know there are rumors about him and that’s why he still hasn’t landed a head coaching gig, but I’ll gladly take that shot with this upside potential.

I think Wentz would have worked if we had the same OL as last year. But when you let guys like Scherff go, what do you expect?

Scherff is having an awful season, not the best time for that example… the problem is an average OL has been decimated by injuries.

    Really?

He had some good passes. The flick under pressure to Terry for the TD was really nice, and the 4th down pass was amazing.

Outside of that? He was completely pedestrian at best and must have tossed at least 4 passes that should have been intercepted, including 2 on the drive to try and win the game...both of which would almost surely have led to a Giants win before OT.

    So yeah, it's not impossible.

    the guys finished with 275 and 2 for a 101 qbr…

When you’re saying things like there were 4 passes that could have been intercepted… it feels like you’re rooting for them to actually be intercepted so u can bash the guy. After every game there’s a stat among haters as to how many passes “should have been intercepted”…

**** me now u have me defending the guy like a little fanboy. It’s just such a weird thing, this Heineke debate. We all know he’s not great, he peaks at slightly above average, but somehow we have so many who hold him to this unrealistic expectation or compare him against top tier qbs just to say he’s no good.

A nobody qb has us at 6-1-1, just give it a rest. I can’t wait to see the hate when he actually blows a game.

Did you seriously not see all those passes that literally hit defenders in the hands?

I had two little kids running around so there’s definitely a chance I missed one… but I absolutely didn’t see 6 passes thrown right to the defense.

  13. 30 minutes ago, Voice_of_Reason said:

No it’s not.  He had 1 good play.  6 INTs not get caught and QBed an offense that scored 3 points in almost 60 minutes of football while going 3-14 on 3rd down.

He sucked minus 3 or 4 plays.

He has 130 yards before the 90 yard drive.

He was basically dreadful for the middle for 50 minutes of game time.  He was ok early, had one moxie magic play (which was really good) and then terrible again.

Brother, the fact that every number/stat you noted is 100% not an actual stat or even close to reality shows your bias…

he had his best statistical performance and that was with atrocious OL play, which u seem to be severely discounting. And I hate to blame the refs but I would like to see how many drives weren’t derailed by nonsense calls/no-calls to our detriment.

  14. Impossible to bash heiny on yesterdays performance. The clutch 4th down elude and toss alone was the reason we even pulled out a tie.

OL and blocking schemes were awful. How could we leave thibodeaux unblocked multiple times?! The pocket was constantly collapsing.

hopefully in 2 weeks st. Juste is back, we get this OL figured out a bit, we don’t deal with homer refs, and we don’t give up a fumble in the red zone. If so, we win.

On that PI call/no-call, I just wish Terry came back to the ball or even completely stopped running to draw the undeniable contact. It feels like we’ve been called for more offensive PI calls than been given defensive PI this year.

I remain baffled at the support for The Washington Football  Team. That is not a name guys  It is literally not a name at all.  Given the choice I'll get used to Commanders before I ever support Football Team.

You kidding me, it was hysterical. “Okay NFL you want us to change the name… then we’ll be the Football Team.” Chopped off our nose to spite our face and it was glorious.

A shirt that says only “football team” gives me beluschi vibes.

EDIT- all that said, I couldn’t care less about the previous, current, or future names, I’m a fan of this team.

  16. The mariota-London connection is non-existent. if there’s a game on the calendar which we could afford some injuries to the secondary it’s this one.

that said, the falcons are definitely not the Texans and theyre right in the thick of the playoff hunt. A win here would be bigger than most would give us credit for.

  17. What a ****ing win. I was fully prepared to lose and just prayed that we’d play respectably…

We dominated TOP and kept the eagles offense off the field. When our D looked brutal early on I kept saying a big part of it was the offense was a 3&out machine. I really struggle to give credit to turner but if he came up with this gameplan because he knew the eagles were weak vs the run then fine, kudos. That said, I wish we had more than “run up the gut.” Run it outside once in a while, run a handful of RPO, try to keep the defense guessing. I don’t mind the run first gameplan, but boy this would be ugly if we faced a stout front.

As many of u probably did, I took immense joy in watching eagles fan reactions… obviously all of the chatter was about the reffing. Over the whole of the game, I’d say it was pretty damn even. The hold on the opening kickoff, the DPI on st juste, the OPI pick play which is flagged once per year…

the face mask was bad, but the hit on the heiny kneel was correct. Graham had a good 5 steps to pull up and just touch heiny. Sure he didn’t aim for decapitation, but in 2022, that has to be a flag every time.

hats off to slye, when was the last time the kicker affected the game that much for us?! (In a positive way)

the other factor in the TOP domination was the mounting frustration on the eagles sideline. Some, if not all of their mistakes in the 4th could be attributed to them trying to do too much from being on tilt.

heiny was a hero. Sure he floated one and sure he threw a bad pick, but he made so many clutch reads and tosses that it more than makes up for it. As long as he throws with anticipation he can make up for his weak arm strength. The guys clearly love him, it’s fun again to watch this team compete and a lot is attributed to… the MOXIE

longest post of my life. Cheers homies and homettes, what a time to be a fan of this team.
