  1. What Peyton Manning got high praise for, telling people where to be, and trying to motivate his teammates in the huddle, that’s what I call barking. His teammates weren’t listening because he hadn’t proven himself. He was still a backup in the instance I’m referring to. When you start balling, your teammates respect you.
  2. To me, when I see him going over and talking to his teammates after something bad happens, even though he’s a rookie, and players didn’t seem to want to listen. I see that as leadership quality. When he goes over and asks his linemen what he can do to help them, that’s the kind of thing a leader does. The reason you don’t see him barking at people in year one, is because he’s a rookie, and because he doesn’t have command of the offense yet. I think that will change in year two and three.
  3. @kingdaddy There is something special about Haskins. Don’t give up on this guy. You can quote me on that. If I were in media I would put my reputation on the line. I evaluate talent pretty well. And the guys you want to hang on to, are the ones who possess things you can’t teach. Haskins has those things. Superior arm talent, confidence, and leadership. I won’t write a huge evaluation on him. But, like I said, just wait and see. I don’t think moving OConell was a good move. It’s like people say, it takes a village to raise a child. Having the right people around him was important. But I still see him thriving.
  4. There are some high expectations for this guy. I hope it works out. Honestly, prospects rated this high generally turn out to be good players, not great players. But he may be one of the exceptions.
  5. I just hope people don’t target him for it now like they did Jordan Reed. The hit on Terry was dirty, no action was taken.
  6. Simon Phoenix was cool. And yes Blade 1 and 2 outclass 3. But at the time I think they were talking about Blade 1. I liked Major League 2 better than 1. Especially the disgruntled fan, he was hilarious.
  7. @FrFan I appreciate the clip. But could there be a more boring, uninteresting, and less credible show than The Daily Line? And then when the little guy on there said Major League was a better Wesley Snipes movie than Blade, they completely lost me. I like that they talk local sports sometimes. But I hope the show gets canned.
  8. I saw him get doubled a few times. But yeah he was underwhelming in that game. Would have no affect on me not taking him second though. This is our guy.
  9. Probably triple teams on him had something to do with it.
  10. I want to be mad at this but I can’t. 😄 So we’ll see if this is like starting over again for Dwayne. What can I say.....
  11. Maybe if Terry played the last game he could have been offensive ROY. Nick Bosa wins defensive 🙄
  12. I don’t think anybody here was saying OConell was great. It could have been Yo Semite Sam calling the plays, didn’t matter. I think people just wanted continuity with Haskins.
  13. Jason Reid is the second worst Jason, right behind Whitlock.
  14. Right, and consistency paired with ability is what you had with OConell and Haskins. Accounted for two of the three wins. But I’m not arguing it anymore.
  15. Rypien, I think everybody liked him, right?
  16. Dwayne seems to be a polarizing figure. He’s only been here one year.
  17. I’m just a big advocate of consistency. And I think you have a rare opportunity to maintain that with OConell. But he’s gone, so it doesn’t matter.
  18. Okay. But this is Haskins second year. They will give him time, especially if he’s starting a new system. If he struggles early, people will probably attribute it more to the style of offense and his unfamiliarity with it. Whereas if OConell stays, there’s less room for error. Well see. Im giving my opinion. I didn’t say I’m always right. But that’s what makes sense to me. Common sense.
  19. So you think Ron will be here longer than Haskins? These changes don’t help. And I wasn’t even beating the Haskins drum from the beginning. But I like his progress.
  20. It does. I said if it’s phenomenal or terrible. I think having a strong grasp of one system before moving onto another would be better for his development.
  21. If Dwayne has a phenomenal year and such, or a terrible one. I just think OConell would have been better for his development. We’ve seen in Washington what changing systems frequently can do to even veteran quarterbacks.
  22. I don’t like the move. People are calling us the Washington Panthers. OConell built some good chemistry with Dwayne. No matter what happens I think he was the better choice.
  23. I feel it’s more like Tua who throws a wrench in. Because now the Bengals have to choose between Tua or Burrow, right?
