We need to call him yesterday, Davis is feeling like a bust and Cole is overachiever at best right now.

I was saying Davis was a bust shortly before the first preseason game and people were giving me the confused face emoji.  It’s apparent to me, and has been for a while, maybe they need to open their eyes.

I was watching and Doc was annoying from the get go. Him and Sheehan being friends is the only reason I can see that Kevin thinks that this guy is good as a color commentator.

Sheehan ain’t that great of a broadcaster either though.

As much as I love Terry, he is by no means “untradeable”.  If a fair offer comes in…

He’s the closest thing to untradeable on this team.  There’s a huge whole there without him.  A top 12 or so player at his position is a big deal.  And the only reason people are skeptical about his talent is because of the QB’s he’s played with.

Samuel on the side is concerning. Could be a rest day. But given that we've only really seen him on the side on a team with guys missing... doesn't feel good in the ol gut.

I heard Ron say there was some “tightness” with Curtis Samuel.  This guy can’t stay healthy.

Shawn Springs and Logan Paulsen giving Christian Holmes some very high praise on the latest episode of Command Center on YouTube.

Springs said he looks like he's a veteran out there already. Said his hips are fluid for a bigger corner.

Man I know it's early but it's hard to not feel like we absolutely nailed this draft class.

Well this is the time of the year to be optimistic.  I’m still skeptical.  I do think Dotson is a day one contributor.

    Probably?

Wentz is unquestionably the best QB he’s played with snd it’s not close. Keenum, McCoy, Haskins (RIP), One Leg Alex, 16 plays of Fitzy, and TH.

    Thats awful.

Even if Wentz is the 19th best QB in the league (I thinK he’s better than that) all the rest of the options are 25+ at best.  And a few shouldn’t ever play, they are backups….

Only reason I said probably is because of Alex Smith whom some people tend to think was pretty damn good at times.

I guess you believe Terry is stupid enough to throw away 20M he'll never see again. That's just not logical nor consistent with his personality type. This isn't Antonio Brown and Terry McLaurin isn't a top 10 WR, though fans believe he is.

He isn’t top ten because of the QB’s he’s played with.  If he wasn’t on this team we’d have nothing at wide receiver.

From the business side, Terry is 27 and getting 3M in 22'. His market value is 22-24M. They're saving 20M by not extending him. It will cost about 20M to franchise him when hes 28. It will cost another 25-27M to franchise him a second time when he's 29. Total is 48-50M to keep him for 3 more seasons. That's virtually guaranteed money minimum. There's no incentive to guarantee more than that in negotiations (first of all). Secondarily, do you want to pay him 22+M at age 30? If not, just stall negotiations and force him to play. If you want him to age 32, that means extend him now for 5 more years and 50M guaranteed with structured cap friendly bonus. Does make the way for a hardball scenario, but the guy can be a HOF'er with a good QB so they should pay him now.

Good post but Terry is 26.

Aren't you assuming an awful lot saying the Commanders expected Hamilton to be there at 16?

Are you in the war room?

If they were taking a receiver all along, why wouldn’t they go for Olave or Williams, they were still on the board at 11?  Stop defending them for making stupid decisions.

    ron and co. Are gone

I don’t know wtf Ron is thinking.  They trade back, which was dumb in the first place, because they thought Hamilton would be there.  He gets snatched up before their pick and they reach on a small receiver when they could have had one of the top prospect wide outs had they kept their pick.   Dumb.

Dotson is a good pick. But I still say we didn’t need wr.

has the best hands of any receiver in the draft

Yes we needed a wide out.  I would have preferred to have one of the other ones. He’s good but he’s smaller than Terry.  Is trading back so smart now?

Not when you have so many other needs. We have one proven great wr, we have one very high level wr when healthy and we have a wr that severely underperformed last season that has to get much better

He has to get much better and showed nothing that makes me think he’s capable of that.  Hamilton is slow, you need TEAM SPEED.

Okay, now the WRs are off the board. I'm not sure what to think about what will be there at #16. I'll be happy with Lloyd or Hamilton, because there's no WR I am willing to take at #16. Maybe another trade down?

I won’t be happy.  They should have gotten a receiver and they’ll live to regret it.  Stupid.
