  1. That's what movies are all about man, that connection. Sorry to hear about that but glad you are in a good place now. I also loved this movie. I've read a lot about it and everybody says the script and cast did a fantastic job bringing such a serious subject to life. I think the movie resonated and was very believable which is why it got the praise it did, among many other reasons. I appreciate you posting your thoughts and experiences on it as well.
  2. One word: Awesome Everything was awesome. Perfect cast that meshed well together. Great humor, great action, great everything. Another classic from Tarantino. Gotta love a man that knows his Ennio Morricone as well. This was one of my favorite movies from last year. It was indeed awesome. Leo and Waltzwere terrific and I loved the way the humor broke up the serious subject matter and horrific things that were going on. Very well done.
  3. ^^^ If you're gonna get caught cheating, you gotta hope it's as clean and friendly a confrontation as that. A scavenger hunt thrown in as a bonus? She's a keeper...
  4. Saw The Great Gatsby Saturday. It's always been my favorite book and I loved the movie. I don't understand all the criticism for the extravagance of the parties and the times. To me it was a realized version of how I always imagined the book to be. I think people just like to criticize Luhrmann without taking the context into account. I also liked the cross with hip hop. I thought it fit pretty well, the highlight was the apartment party scene to "Who Gon Stop Me" which I thought was very well done. Most of the themes and symbols from the book translated to the movie too which was my biggest fear. The acting was great as it always is with Leo but Edgerton did a fantastic job as Tom Buchanan too and I thought Carey Mulligan was a great fit for Daisy too.
  5. It would look very Oregon Duck-ish having a gold jersey but I think we could pull it off...
  6. If done correctly, a gold jersey would be really cool though I do not like either of the above pics of one.
  7. Agreed about Goodman. He just pops up in small roles and always hits a home run regardless of his character. Every time I see him appear in a movie I'm happy knowing he is going to nail it. ---------- Post added May-20th-2013 at 01:35 AM ---------- I saw this recently too and really liked it. I thought the characters were very believable and connected with viewers because of it and their symptoms. We all know similar people or people with their own personal issues and I think this movie was greatly helped by that and how well Cooper and Lawrence portrayed their characters. Didn't even feel like a chick flick to me. The lines weren't cheesy and cringeworthy either like most chick flicks. Seemed more like a drama framed around a love story which I was very appreciative of.
  8. Which is exactly why I don't remember who the poster was that had it in their sig
  9. ^^^ That used to be some poster's sig on here for along time. I don't remember who though.
  10. Why make the collar solid white? Personally I loved the flywire collars from last year but I can understand if they wanted to change the style where the burgundy only goes halfway around. There should be trim/color on the collar though, I am not down with the all white cause.
  11. I think I would actually prefer the helmet stripes being narrower to match the pants. ---------- Post added May-1st-2013 at 10:03 AM ---------- I am not a fan of that shade of gold or burgundy. It's just so dull and boring. I much prefer our shades of B&G on the unifoms now.
  12. I never saw Thor but after The Avengers and this trailer I guess I will need to check it out. ---------- Post added April-25th-2013 at 01:05 AM ---------- I've had that exact same thought many times lol.
  13. Great story I love my cat even though that thing is certifiably insane but I wouldn't change all the quirks about it that make me laugh. Cats have so much personality.
  14. I just think if you leave the trim on the sleeves you want the same matching gold trim on the numbers. We aren't savages here this **** gotta match lol
  15. I thought it was going to start this coming year but not sure. ---------- Post added April-24th-2013 at 04:28 PM ---------- If the players all got those sideburns as well, maybe I could get on board. Otherwise leave those uniforms in the dust of history with shag carpet and bell bottoms.
  16. I also like the gold biker shorts Morgan is wearing in your avatar. Let's give those a go this year.
  17. Those leg stripes on the burgundy pants look terrible. They need to be changed to match the gold pants we currently have.
  18. i know I am late to the party on this one inally saw The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I thought it was great. I love when young actors kick ass and all three main people in this movie each nailed their role perfectly. I've been a big fan of Logan Lerman since 3:10 to Yuma and Meet Bill and he was excellent in this. Ezra Miller and Emma Watson were both fantastic as well It was sad, sweet, beautiful and poetic. Probably my favorite movie about young people in high school. It currently has 85% critic and 90% user ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. Based on the novel written by Stephen Chbosky, this is about 15-year-old Charlie (Logan Lerman), an endearing and naive outsider, coping with first love (Emma Watson), the suicide of his best friend, and his own mental illness while struggling to find a group of people with whom he belongs. The introvert freshman is taken under the wings of two seniors, Sam and Patrick, who welcome him to the real world.
  19. My thoughts on it exactly. For the time period, characters and story, the movie was pretty boring. Not at all what it could have been with that cast.
  20. Haha I hear you but I gotta disagree. No offense lol but those are hideous. I think I'd listen to the games on the radio if I was forced to watch that.
  21. I agree with all of your points, especially the striping except for #6. I hate those old bland throwback colors. The colors we have now are much more energetic and crisper. If we tweak the uniforms as you mentioned and left the colors the same I would be happy. I also do like the new collars on the jersey last year. It was a new look and kind of looked like a polo. I don't know I was happy with it. It sort of modernizes the uniform a tad but not drastically. ---------- Post added April-24th-2013 at 02:55 PM ---------- If we have the white pants again, I'd prefer white on white over burgundy jersey/white pants. ---------- Post added April-24th-2013 at 02:57 PM ---------- I must have read this incorrectly the first time because I also do like the trim on the jersey number and would prefer to keep it.
  22. haha that's classic. I think I prefer the Thundercats look. It's not like anybody would notice anyway
