Heck we've had two coaching hires that seem to be almost 100% driven by finding the "right" coach to groom our struggiling QBs.  Zorn was going to fix Campbell and Jay was going to fix RG3.

Rivera was brought in to coach Haskins.  If Haskins weren't such a complete ****up, that would have wasted at least a couple full seasons before Snyder moved on to the next QB.

Our best QBs have developed when slowly giving them experience (Thiesmann, Rypien, Cousins).

Two of those QBs were 30-40 years ago and are not relevant to the way the team has been run for the last 20+ years.  The third was close to NFL ready when drafted, but spent three years on the bench because Synder demanded that his inferior hand-picked QB start whenever healthy..

Cousins just had the most clutch late game throw of his career today

Bro Cousins made clutch late game throws with us on a regular basis for three straight years.  Yeah he's a wacky dude and far from perfect, but let's not pretend that a game winning TD with a minute left in the 4th quarter of Week Three is his career highlight.

name change and all that surrounds that. I say it isn't directly Snyder's fault because he didn't choose to change it. I have my suspicions that under different ownership there would have been more leeway in 2020 for "Redskins" to stay (or better preparation to change the name to something more derivative like "Warriors" to retain some of the traditional fanbase), but that's not something I can prove and I might be putting too much on Snyder.

I think a competent owner would have been able to protect the name.
